No doubt there are brave people in Ukraine, and I have a certain amount of respect for the AFU soldiers who've been engaged brutal fighting for the last 54 days. That being said, I think that bravery is largely contingent on billions of dollars of western aid already received, and the promise of likely hundreds of billions in aid when it comes time to rebuild.

The Taliban did more with effectively no aid and 40 year old rifles and RPGs. No doubt there is bravery on the Russian side as well. I think there are a number of places in the world where you would find the same kind of bravery under similar circumstances. Ukraine doesn't have a monopoly on bravery and I think it's pretty gay for them to try and meme that they do.
