Mmmmkay. And Assad just had the police launch a little tear gas and the Israelis only engaged in a little "enhanced" crowd control. "Terrorist" and "freedom fighter" is a thin line.Meh. The president hired thugs to intimidate protesters and even tried to get the army involved, ended up passing laws which suppressed dissent.
But multiple thousands dead is a bit more than, "intimidating protestors", your gift for understatement aside.
Based on your comments it would be a waste of time to attempt a discussion of the few and narrow circumstances under which a Ukrainian president could be removed from power pre-2014, or the legal/legislative requirements for such. In short, none of them applied. The fucking "coup" was a corrupt government official fleeing the country and the parliament voting to remove him from power.
What you're lamenting is the lack of an option to continue to be a part of the failed state of Nuevorussia. It seems to elude you that, based on the results of said referendum and what's occurred in the years since, that the people of the region didn't want to be a part of said failed state - the way the peoples of the DPR and LPR don't want to be a part of that failed state.No. They were given the option to join the RF or return to the 1992 constitution.
