My mom got me this stuffed jellyfish for Easter ;u; She knows I love sea creatures so much ahhh I want to cry.

I have my hedgehog hand puppet, egog is over 30 now but is still snuggly.

A lamb, called Lamby. My youngest stole him to sleep with.

An Emerald Carbuncle my eldest sleeps with.

I need a new cuddly in my life, any suggestions? No spiders though or octopodes because too many legs

I have three. I have a small pink round... thing that I was given by the hospital where I was born. I recently got myself a Living Nature grey rat. Slightly more recently I got myself a large funky blue and purple shark in the hopes that the incentive of getting to display it would bribe me into making my bed more often. (Depression is a bitch.)

Always wanted some of those pathogen soft toys, but I'm not sure what I'd do with them. What would I say to my nieces when they visit? "That one? It's syphilis. Um... ask your mother." I likely will get more rat soft toys though. I've been eyeing off a couple of handmade ratties on Etsy.

I remember when plush microbes were really popular, I still have my herpes one. Yeah, I remember they released a Valentine's Day box that had a bunch of STD plushies in it.

Completely unrelated to the spirit of kiwi farms, but I’d recommend a cow. Idk I’ve just always found them so cute in stuffed animal form (not so much in person)

Foxes, dogs, cats.. snakes or cthulu is OK too

I considered a cow but couldn't find one I liked
Cthulu was pretty specific so I looked it up and

This guy’s pretty cute imo. You can find him here on Amazon.

Hey, maybe that’s what we could do with this thread, just finding each other their stuffed best friends. It might be the only good thing to ever come out of Kiwi Farms.

I have many many figures and stuffed animals, both from when I was young to the most recent being last year. There's just something nice about having a figure or plushie of an animal or character you like... you just look over at it and it's like "oh hello" and it's like a smile starts up. IDK. I'm sentimental for things like that. I've honestly too many to list or even take pictures of, and wish I had more space to display everything instead of having them all cramped up in boxes and bins.

These plushies you guys are sharing are super cute and I genuinely love the little stories attached.

The oldest plush I have that I managed to save from when I was very little was a... aw hell, I'll just post it.
It's a very old plush cat, the brand was Kitty Kitty Kittens, and I think this one was named Patches. He's got some damage to him and, for whatever reason, his body is deflated (maybe he needs more stuffing?) and when you move it around, it has some kind of thing inside the head that sounds like purring.

My first plush was a fucked up monkey plush that I got from like, a zoo gift shop as a baby. I remember my mom asking me what his name was and I just said 'Nobody' so his name was officially Nobody from there on out. Had him until like, 4th grade.

He sorta looks like the plush below, but a bit thinner kind of? His face definitely didn't protrude as much. He was sort of a mixture between a monkey and a sloth, and his fur was a bit lighter. I used to throw him around and hit him against walls and other toys and pretend that he was fighting them.

I used to pour milk on him and suck the milk back out and he was sopping wet all the time i used to slam it against walls and it would make a loud thud

I NEED TheCat, it's the funniest thing I've ever seen.

Thank you both

I have an autistic obsession with stuffed animals, so could recommend a few brands.

Amuse is a very popular Japanese brand. They've done a lot of types of plushies, from sea creatures to pets. Stores such as FYE and Hot Topic have limited selections, but the largest variety can be found through distributor sites. I'm not sure if the official Amuse store ships outside of Japan, but I'll link it so you can try. https://jellybeet.com/amuse/ https://amufun.co.jp/

Aurora has a very wide array of animals to choose from in different styles. https://auroragift.com/

Bellzi is one I found looking for cows, and they're pretty cute. https://bellzi.com/

Kellytoy are the creator of the newest stuffed animal fad, Squishmallows. They all have the same body type and are pretty soft - I have a few laying around the house in various sizes. But if it's not your thing because of all of them being so similar, that's understandable. https://squishmallows.com/

Sanei Boeki make stuffed animals for various anime and manga brands, but their animal dangos and sea slugs are super cute. I've found it incredibly difficult to find the dangos for reasonable prices, and I genuinely don't know if the sea slugs have hit the international market yet save for Amazon. http://san-ei-boeki.co.jp/

Give me my puzzle pieces now.

ETA:

Douglas Cuddle Toy also has a good variety of stuffed animals. https://douglascuddletoy.com/

I had a cute, fluffy dog plushie as a child. Still do, it's currently at a relative's house together with a mishmash of toys from the childhood of many in my family, it's a nice little tradition considering that it's our gathering spot, so whenever a new child is born they can carry on the tradition of playing with them. Quite sweet, really!

Nowadays I don't own many plushes, but I got one of a cat as part of a gift basket together with chocolates and some knickknacks. It's lovely, albeit I don't have a picture of it, sadly!

Shoot, it is discontinued, but Steven Jackson Games made a really cute Cthulhu plushie a while ago. I have the pink one. They also released a version for every major holiday

I have a plushie Snoopy that's well over 30 years old and he's in suprisingly good condition for his age. I have him on a shelf, but I would legitimately be devastated if anything ever happened to him. Peanuts holds a special place in my heart; I grew up with it and watched every single cartoon--I remember my mom getting on eBay in the 90s to find the rare VHS tapes. As an adult, I've picked up on things like existentialism in the comics that you really don't get as a kid.

My dream is to go to the Snoopy Museum in Tokyo. I know there's one in Santa Rosa, CA (I remember it being threatened by wildfires and I was hoping to dear God they had some sort of underground bunker to protect all the original art and collectibles), but Tokyo seems way more interesting.

Holy heck, that's a blast from the past! I had the black n 'white one, and I think I had the grey version as well. I think they tend to deflate over time.

EDIT: I misremembered, I had Queenie and Pumpkin (because I was devastated over my first cat dying to leukemia).

Here's a pictured list of all of 'em.
