Short turpin update:
Jordan Turpin is now an official TikTok star , (dayyyam! I'm not bedding the pics but she's uhrecognizable) and Jordan and Jennifer met Garth Brooks
Jordan refers them as L and D. She's been posting how thankful she is for Venmo and cashapp and that she can buy her siblings gifts, prolly for the first time, and she has a roof over her head and food to eat so they're doing much better than they were when the interview happened.
Good for her.

Given the circumstances I feel like there's enough probable cause to force an interview to happen. Although you know those kids will be coached to hell and back to defend their monster dad if they ever are made to do an interview.
It's a real shame that the state is dragging their feet about this though, considering not just the nature of his conviction but also the fact that it's a known fact he molested his sisters. It doesn't matter that he was never charged and convicted of those crimes, not when it's been officially admitted that yes, it did happen.

One thing I noticed when I read the transcripts of the forensic interviews with the Duggar kids is that they all had almost identical answers to everything, down to the game they liked to play most. Short video about an IBLP kid - doesn't reveal anything we don't already know, but it's interesting to me that she talks so much like the Noyes kids despite being from a totally different part of the US. Makes me wonder if the weird mushmouth accent is a sort of 'hereditary' thing, like that's how the common denominator ancestor talked and all their kids grew up sounding like that so it got passed down as the kids moved around.

I don't know if "dragging their feet" is a fair characterization. Any child sexual abuse investigation is incredibly fraught, obviously, and the shame and stigma associated with it means that investigators have to be very, very careful about how they proceed. This usually means involving trained professionals, including physicians and social workers, well before any interviews take place. Investigators need to prioritize not traumatizing the kids further rather than focusing on securing another conviction, especially since Josh is already incarcerated.
Also, because young children are very suggestible, law enforcement likely only get one good shot at getting evidenciary statements that won't be picked apart by Josh's defense attorneys. They can't keep going back and asking the same questions. If they go in, proverbial guns blazing, and end up getting nothing useful, they will likely alienate the children completely.
I really hope that they're just forming a strategy. I would not be surprised if they have some idea of what happened and to whom but they are treading carefully lest the Duggars circle the wagons even further.

Still, I hope something is done eventually since all the signs are there that there's far more sexual abuse that's gone down amongst the duggars than what we know about.
I feel like with fundie sex pests especially the full extent of the abuse they committed is often far worse than what actually gets made public. They level that they circle the wagons around predators and harm victims makes it difficult, if not impossible, to know the full extent of what a creep did in many cases.

Edit: Josh asked for a sentencing delay and the judge granted until May.
Josh's lawyers asked for an extension for sentencing because they say they can't properly meet with him over video calls and there is other evidence they are still pursing, so I'm guessing they want a last minute hail Mary to dig something up to try to get the judge to throw the conviction out and aquit him?

Damn, I had previously understood Daisy's Destruction as torture porn and rape of an 18-month old child. This testimony confirms that it is a video or the rape and torture of a four to five month old infant.
This is worse than anyone not in the pedo world knew.
Anyone want to take best on how young Josh's kids were when he started raping them? I don't think it's a question of "if", which is why Jim Boob, Meech, and their army of lawyers are fighting tooth and nail to prevent any of Josh's kids from being interviewed by authorities - not until they've drilled the fear of God into them to only repeat what they've been instructed to say.

I'd say a good chance exists that he could've been sexually abusing them since birth. Anna would more or less know for sure, but she'll never tell on him, frustratingly. If the kids are ever interviewed they've already been coached to hell and back so unless one of them cracks we won't know from them either. Although they might not know if/when their monster dad started molesting their siblings, though it would be telling if one of them admitted to being molested/raped as far back as they can remember.
