What's the list for 3D looking like now? I know Hana is probably a bit before EN and then I think Siska and the rest of 3Set is somewhere in there too (I could be wrong though).

Pretty sure Hana doesn't give a shit about getting 3d until everyone in ID (or at least the people she was with during the time she blew up) also gets theirs. So they'll likely skip her

Not too long actually when you REALLY put it in perspective. Hana declined her 3D awhile ago.

Even if she doesn't want it, most of NijiID fans (if there still are) wanted NijiID to also have their 3D, especially since now HoloID have both 3D models and Home3D. Besides, skipping entire ID for EN really gave a huge ammo for the "EN favoritism" accusation. You also can't say management issue being an obstacle for it now that NijiID as a branch doesn't exist anymore

That means nothing. I'm not from the New England and both I and other people still some times say it that way here, specifically to tease/make fun of the pronunciation. In fact I would argue that the way she said sounded more like me imitating the pronunciation then a proper Chowdah.

So there is a maximum of 13 debuts before LazuLight, but it's most likely only 6. Last year, Nijisanji had a staggering 30+ 3D debuts with most of them coming in the second half of the calendar. So far in 2022, there have been 6 if you include this announcement. By all accounts, LazuLight should fall within this 2022 pocket. If I was them, I'd be scrambling to get some EN on stage for October's expo.

There was no way for her to ever actually get into the studio and perform, and anything before that wouldn't have been a formal offer from the company because she hadn't reached the requirement.

I think you aren't really following IRyS properly if all of your issues seems to be issues that can be properly fact-checked with minor research. Hope Project is not INNK. For one thing they actually work with several producers and is not reliant to only one producer. The only issue I see with the original music output was the delay in releasing her MVs but that was it. She has been releasing an original song every month if you haven't noticed and has released a second EP at beginning of the year. Your qualms about an EN Vsinger not releasing English Songs is outdated if you just listen to at least any song she has released this year.

Moreover, her not doing a karaoke "often" isn't something she has to do. That's not really what Vsingers are for. They are hired to release original music and then release them to perform in paid concerts and events. The bulk of the money the company gets are from those events and merch. If you haven't checked there was a leak that showed that her EP Merch got a total sale of about $110,000. Excluding digital purchases. She herself though has been careful about straining her throat since she did just that while recording her EP. I don't mind the Bi-weekly karaoke though because they are all great. Her Caraoke stream and re-broadcast of that said Caraoke are still one of the best Karaokes that any EN has ever done. It's a complete package.

The only proper gripe you might have is not giving her 3D right from the get go. Her model is not a debuff anymore to the people that has completely fallen in love with her. One thing that they did right though is to let her stream as much as she can because that is how you build your fanbase.

You can only say this if we know exactly what is the function of the Vsinger. They specifically hired a girl that is situated in JP that can speak Japanese as well. I think she will see more traction once she gets her 3D and start performing in events. She's not a music producer so comparing her to Calli is irrelevant. You can only use the views as a meter if Cover was only hiring a Vsinger to get numbers on Youtube which I would say is a very dumb thing to hire a person for. It is true that her numbers isn't as glamourous compared to her colleagues but they aren't terrible. Her last cover Identity is at 627k views now and it was released just over a month ago. I think she just needs to release more current songs and I believe she is releasing a new cover sometime next month. Lastly, I think it's going to be a terrible idea to lump her with Council most especially once she gets her 3D and starts doing events on her own without the other girls because they can't be in Tokyo.

Even in terms of music production, her OG songs haven't really broken away from the mold, and relative to her peers actually don't perform as well (HERE COMES HOPE is her best-performing song with 886K in 6 months). Her most popular song is a cover of Suisei's original song, and her 3rd most popular is a cover of Towa's.

Kronii's original song has performed better. Calli is better known for her music production. Even hopping across the pond, Enna's original song performed better than all but one and that was released before she broke 100K subs, Finana's 'TSUNAMI' sits at 1.6m, and Millie's covers perform better overall.

In my opinion, IRyS should have been in Council with a more normal design. The lack of expectation that she would be 'the singer' would have paradoxically made her singing voice much more impactful on the audience.

I never liked much of Irys's singing. Not that she's bad but her songs are just kinda "meh". When it comes to random game streams she is one of my fav EN talents. I feel like she shines the most when she's with the others, especially on song mash-ups.





Nina is not a great singer but the stream is pretty fun and high-energy. Music seems to be mostly from late 90's early 2000's. Seems like the type of shit I would pick, guessing she is as old as I am.

This has nothing to do with what I said. I said Cover is doing the same thing as INNK, not that she is from it. Then I talked about the situation specifically near her debut, I don't understand how what she was doing lately has anything to do with it. Saying she does EN songs lately is overstatement as well, they all sound like someone wrote it in japanese and then simply translated to english adjusting lyrics so it fits into a song. It's awkward and very noticeable, compare to songs actually written in english like girls from Niji or Calli are doing. And your argument that vsingers shouldn't do karaoke any more or less than other members is just bonkers. You hire a person based on their ability to sing and then they... don't actually sing. Because that makes sense. Somehow. Imagine for a second I am a newcomer who never heard about her and you try to tell me she is amazing singer and I should buy her next album. Ok, sure, let's check her out and go to her channel. Last karaoke - 3 weeks ago. Original song released almost same time as cover - has only half the views. Next karaoke - 3 months ago. Has she performed at any big event or concert - not really. Now tell me I am wrong, but what conclusion should I come up with? That she is an amazing singer and I should totally preorder the album. Or that she is so so at best and gets carried by doing covers of popular songs (even though I don't think that's the case personally)?
I am not stupid (at least I hope so) and understand why karaoke are a bitch to do, why she doesn't do them often, and why no one archives english songs. But you are missing the point. It was about expectations that were set at the start, and attracting newcomers specifically for her music as her title would suggest. She is an interesting person to watch as entertainer. Just calling her vsinger sounds dumb given she doesn't do anything much different than others. Suisei makes her own albums, so does Calli, iirc Towa and Watame did too, Mel has one albeit on roommate account. You don't need to be called vsinger to do so. I can guess why she wanted to apply for this position, given her track record she would get in, trample over everyone and secure a spot in hololive free to fuck around as she wants later. Meanwhile applying for regular spot at EN2 managers could easily overlook her musical talent if they weren't aiming to have one in the gen at a time to start with, so it was easier bet for her to land in the company.
