It probably is a place for mentally ill/sober people and Luna is too ignorant to tell the difference between someone who is high and someone who’s suffering from a mental health conditionIf there wasn’t a moratorium on eviction in NY due to COVID-19 (which I ultimately agree with as it allowed many good, hardworking people to keep a roof over their family’s head during the shitshow over the past two years), I strongly believe the MHA in conjunction with the police would’ve tossed Lurch and Tuna out onto the cold streets a long time ago. (Mama Slater’s social worker who accompanied her to gather her stuff from the apartment was very unimpressed with the couple.)
But if you mean the MHA housing in general: I can’t speak for the other people who live in the complex who Tuna has said are all cracked-out felons—as I trust her even less far than I can throw her—but Mama was making the effort to be sober and as that supported housing complex was for sober people, I have to imagine a lot of other people there are, too.
Not everyone is as selfish, entitled drains like our AliExpress Kurt & Courtney, and the part I still hate most about this saga is how they are still taking up a resource for someone who IS committed to recovery because while I HAVE seen some awful people game the system for gibs, I’ve also seen many people with severe mental illness, trauma, addiction, and handicaps turn their lives around completely with the support of services (such as the type Luna monopolizes & dirties with unwashed junkie effluvia or ditches for not coddling her BPD and narcissistic worldview enough) and then proceed to go back to help other people in the same situation.
Hopefully when they get evicted (if they ever do!?) poor Pumpkin can finally escape in the hubbub and confusion of the move!
Looks like it was settled?
Edit: new horrors from her tumblr. Someone get this girl a mop
