Marvel Cinematic Universe

If I had to recommend just one out of this batch it'd definitely be Moon Knight. No offense to Reginald Dinglebatch or whatever is name is, but Oscar Isaac is just more fun to watch.
The only real draw with the new Doctor Strange is Sam Raimi directing it, especially after No Way Home. Even then, the need for synergy with Disney+ might end up driving away Raimi fans and Cumbersnatches.

I had gone to the movies this past week with some friends and we arrived before the previews. So among the promos before trailers was some soyboy hyping Doctor Strange 2. He basically said before watching that movie, you need to watch the D+ shows Loki, WandaVision, and What If...? to familiarize yourself with the multiverse.

Remember when the MCU stans told us each installment could be viewed on its own and without prior knowledge of events in past installments? #PepperidgeFarmRemembers

I doubt this is really case besides one minute cameos. Marvel movies are basically McDonald's by now, you know exactly what you are gonna get without any need to see anything beforehand.

I'm pretty sure this is still essentially true unless someone is a complete retard. MCU speds have been trying to use the multiverse to make these films/tv shows seem deeper when multiverse shit is actually super fucking shallow.

My one friend has been saying this same shit to try and get me to watch the shows since I told him I'd see Doctor Strange 2 with him. He said Wandavision was "required" viewing, and I just told him I'd read the wikipedia synopsis and he got all butthurt about it.

Well that's retarded. I mean yes I have seen wandervision. But if I hadn't and wanted to see the movie anywhys. I would just read about it than

So, I've been watching Moon Knight. It's pretty ok, but of course in the latest episode they had to go all in on the romance. Can't we have a guy with multiple personalities who beats everyone up without a romance.
Wandavision has Wanda recreate her dead boyfriend and larp as a housewife. Loki falls in love with a genderbent version of himself. Now Moonight has a love triangle with two corners being alter egos of the same guy. At this point Marvel fanfics are less bizarre than the actual content.

Out of all the romance in the shows and yet the fanficers didn't get the ship that they wanted personally Bucky×Sam.

Well yeah it's a Disney property, they'd never do the gays or anything that major with black people unless it's with other black people.

Don't want to anger the Chinese Overlords

Star Lord returns in 2023. Here I am, though, still wondering why I have not seen the second one.
You ain’t missing much. I remember the second Gaurdians being awful. The jokes dragged and were fewer, yet the plot felt rushed like it was supposed to be a joke movie. It was just an overall drag that couldn’t capture the first.

After that and The Suicide Squad, I really have no faith in James Gunn. The first was sort of lightning in a bottle, but since his films feel long and unfunny.

I liked the second more than the first. Yamdu really elevated that film.

The second is divisive. Honestly I just found it to be a slog. Yandu was definitely given the best parts of the film with Rocket, but the rest felt like a bullet list of events. Star Lords dad doesn’t really do much yet it kind of acts like he does. The spend the first half calling him evil, then he has one baseball game with Star Lord which then he isn’t, then immediately after he is. I cannot tell if this was a massive joke or just rushed development, either way, it just came off like stuff happened. The Star Lord trio’s section just felt like a series of events with jokes that dragged during it such as the penis joke that just kept going on.

I remember Rocket and Yandu getting some nice scenes, but half the film just seemed to have no planning. I was getting out of Marvel at the time though, so maybe my own biases got in the way, but I do remember some critics also feeling much the same way, primarily Jeremy Johns who placed it as an only fun when drunk movie.

You do know that the "trailer" there is a fanmade one right?
That was a really shitty teaser for Guardians. Not even any licensed music.
It's cause it's fanmade, that channel is known for making clickbait. Fanmade shit don't have the Yidsney authority over music.
