It's just a primitive way to represent the sun, so either it became popular with Indo-Aryan people before the gradual migration to Europe, or the two civilizations came upon it independently. Either is plausible, it doesn't take a Nazi rocket scientist to draw some right angles arranged in a way that looks cool. All the occultism/mysticism stuff associated with the NSDAP is largely post-war propaganda to make them sound totally insane. There were some kooks for sure, but that was by no means the mainstream within the party. There's kooks in every movement.
