General Discussion for Virtual Youtubers / Vtubers / Chuubas - it's okay to be a simp for 2D, just don't thirstpost.

Time zones can affect that pretty easily with 3 different ones in play until Calli sorts out whatever moving she's doing, once again leaving Kiara odd man out. Even that would still be easier with just 2 time zones.
I don't know where you are from but a reminder if you are not from US/Canada, but we have multiple time zones here. I'm 99% sure Gura is Eastern time zone, Ame's last none whereabouts were in Cali so she's Pacific, Ina is in Calgary (right?) so that is Mountain Time zone, if Calli moves back to Texas that's central time. That's still 4 different time zones, admittedly its easier to work around since they are only separated by a hour each, but its still 4 different time zones + Kiara in Austria.

Edit: completely unrelated but i saw this earlier and even though it definitely isn't a reference to Kiara i thought it was funny.

I don't see Sakana blaming PhaseConnect antis on being Nijisanji/Hololive operated botfarms, so no. If anything he'd be Paul Heyman if he wasn't a jew.
Yeah, you're right. I also can't see Sakana hyping about debuts that will shock the industry and then showing off literal whos. And, you know, I don't see Sakana doing a fuckton of coke.

LOCAL GUIDES HAVE FINALLY HIT 10k!!!! 🥳

They will be doing three special streams next weekend to celebrate this. The sequel game to Go Go Nippon!! will also be under development now, with updates on the project in the near future.

I'm proud of them for getting this far and can't wait to see what the future holds!
Some say the internet is full of people calling each other slurs and insults, and they are right. But sometimes wholesomeness wins out. Though a Shiki collab? Being terminally online is like the Eevee family tree, some evolve into a Pippa and some into a Shiki and so on. I'll have to watch to VOD to check the corruption.

Full credit actually, I did skimp over the fact we have several time zones to work with. Without thinking I just went by "Well it's easier due to continent placement" instead of properly accounting for this. I'm not 100% familiar with who is where beyond country and a "better" time sync doesn't mean scheduling is totally fixed as you're properly pointing out.

As an aside: I was today years old when I learned Tenma has a twitch archive channel for youtube. (Or someone has one for her, but it's linked on her own channel either way)
All I can say about that is THANK FUCK. I really can't stand twitch's VoD system for some reason, and navigating a twitch channel is more annoying than it should be if you're not just walking into a currently live stream.

Some guy said that a collab between Ollie and Selen was cancelled, which would be weird because NijiID and HoloID collab without issue. I have no information on that or even if it's true so I won't comment further.
That much is true. Ollie was scheduled to be a guest on Selen's APEX series and it even reached the point where Selen was given permission to specify that her next guest would be a 'certain zombie', but it fell through somewhere in the proceeding week.

I never want to hear people doubt Rosemi ever again.

Slightly tangential to this, but any number of these could end up in HoloEN3 given that the auditions remain open, so keep tabs on them.

They also seem to believe it is NijiEN management keeping it from happening. Some guy said that a collab between Ollie and Selen was cancelled, which would be weird because NijiID and HoloID collab without issue. I have no information on that or even if it's true so I won't comment further.
i think you can consider that rrat since if HoloID can pass the NijiEN stuff Millie and IDGen1 collab should have happened long time ago right?

also, does anyone know if JP member Niji or Holo usually stream as much as they do during Golden Week?
coincidentally at least in 2 weeks, ID might have less stream due to them celebrating Eid or what i like to call Muslim Christmas, and one said on Ollie chat about Golden Week start next week and last for 2 weeks, for those who don't know basically Golden Week is where your corpo worker in JP have a proper holiday. cmiiw

EN market would be a great time to jump in

Annnnnd tsunderia died. And nobody will miss you.

This is a big maybe. On paper it sounds like a no-brainer: The common denominator in who can't participate in collabs is NijiEN, and HoloID, who is, on paper, appealing to the Indonesian market and collaborates pretty freely, doesn't make a lot of sense to block Selen from collaborating.

But then you have to consider how things work in practice. HoloEN, HoloID, and Holostars (I mention Stars because Reimu is a big admirer of them and I believe MAY have shown interest in a collab behind the scenes) are all buoyed by a majority Western fanbase (according to that data from 2021, at least 50% of active Stars viewers were EN). If you look at it from the perspective of who these branches actually represent and not who they are supposed to, you could certainly make the argument that NijiEN interacting with any of these 3 branches is a threat to Hololive's power in the western market.

The only reason I still think it COULD be NijiEN is the fact that Pomu, Kiara, and Selen have all used the phrase 'Maybe next year', which is a very strange thing to say when the collabs got rejected in September and October.

It seems like they have some idea of a possible embargo, and that could very well be NijiEN saying 'You have to grow your own fanbase for a year so you will always have a core audience'. A sentiment I think is pretty retarded given that NijiEN have never taken a hit to their viewers when Holo's stream or IRyS/Council debuted.

I must say that I can't really get on board with her explanation of things
I agree with a lot of the reasons she made except for "Everything is a podcast" comment because fish tank wasn't so much of a podcast to begin with but it was more of a react to pictures sort of thing. If she continued with that format, I imagine she would run out of ideas fast because she has to keep digging for things to react with rather than just picking general topics and then having a discussion with Gura about it. I think only her pure chatting streams are the ones that can be considered as a podcast. On a sidenote, I hope CHADcast feature guests next time. They are interesting as a trio but I think they are circling around some topics already and/or would have a topic that either 1 or 2 is not interested in like Kpop and Cars. A guest should fix that.

Reactions: You're an idiot
In general, do smaller Vtubers ever show up on this thread? or just the mainstream ones? I don't think I've seen many indies talked about here
We do have people who post their favourite indies. Though obviously, it's less than the Hololive/Nijisanji fanbase. Offhand I recall @Takodachi has a couple small indies he watches. @Swingletonthesimpleton usually talks about indies, especially controversies. There's another guy (whose name escapes me at the moment) who has posted perhaps a half-dozen times asking about their new favourite, and they all turned out to be trannies for some reason (?!).

If the question is "Are you welcome to post it?" then the answer is yes. Especially if there's something interesting going on.

(Also, if Phase-Connect counts as indie, then there's Pippa who's the thread darling)

I wouldn't be surprised if Calli will be the first one to collab with a NijiEN. The girl seems to be able to move mountains except getting permissions to collab with Charlie.

That's if Calli cares enough.

She probably knows Enna is Shannon (who won both of Calli's remix competitions), but beyond some interactions with Vox and Reimu, there's been little indication she will make a strong push for anything.

Kiara is the person most likely to push.
