Tabletop Roleplaying Games (D&D, Pathfinder, CoC, ETC.)

With how WOTC is, I honestly don't think that this is parody.

I mapped out quite a bit of the Gran Duchy of Geoff prior to the players deciding to pool their funds and go elsewhere.
They are finally updating Spelljammer to 5e and as a boxed set no less, kinda cool but I waited for it so long that I don't care plus I was not impressed by some of the writing in tasha's cauldron to everything and heard strixhaven was mediocre at best.
WotC is too woke now for me to believe this set will be anything but liquid shit. Tasha's Cauldron of Power Creep was proof enough that high quality and woke writers are incompatible.

Spelljammer is the last setting they should be looking at after the Age of the Genderless Featureless Grey Blob they initiated with Tasha's Cauldron of Mediocrity.

It's a setting featuring literal aliens, in a game that's pushing hard for homogenization of player races. That's not going to work. Also, Spelljammer's races were in many places meant to be very alien and embrace completely different values systems, but you can bet your ass there will be at least one "reformed" gay Illithid NPC who refuses to eat brains. And the Neogi will suddenly be completely retconned out of existence.

I'm saving this for something to use in a future Paranoia game. It reads like a Troubleshooter mission directive during one of The Computer's more schizo moments.

So it will trigger the "FREEEEEAKSHIIIIT!" spergs? Okay, there's a positive.

Spelljammer is a setting about literally sailing ships through space. The "freakshit reee" spergs wouldn't have touched it with a ten-foot pole even if they were around when the setting first came out.

They better not ruin the twins, Caramon and Raistlin. Knowing them, they'll probably swap one of their features.
It's just shit. From the video description:

"Dragonlance is coming back to D&D later this year! Battle for the world of Dragonlance across an adventure book and battle game that includes options to link them together as a new way to play D&D. Dragonlance: Shadow of the Dragon Queen is an adventure book that tells a brand-new story at the beginning stages of the War of the Lance. Dragonlance: Warriors of Krynn introduces a war game experience to D&D 5th Edition, featuring large scale military battles."

The kindest thing I can say is that maybe they won't fuck up the original Heroes of the Lance, and maybe they'll settle for shitting out some new original content donut steel. But I've no confidence in that.

This was Tweeted after WOTC teased the new Dragonlance book.
Same with the Spelljammer creators. They didn't tell them that they were going to adapt their work because they probably would object to the Woke gender shit that they would put in. WoTC is a scumbag company no better then Disney. But remember, since they add trannies, gays and gender blobs they are the good guys. Whoever said that Woke shit pushed by companies like Disney and WoTC are only using it as a shield to cover up their dirty business practices and get Twitter freak shows to defend them from genuine criticism is Nostra-Fucking-damus.

Played our first session of the GI Joe RPG tonight. Fun little beer n pretzel run if you can get yourself into the setting (and being the old fucks we are, we naturally went with early 80's Real American Hero albeit with MA rated language and violence) and roll with it. Yea, there's some stains of Pozzing with the "Pronouns" thing on the character sheet, but that's easy to ignore for salty dogs. RP'd our training and then quickly thrust into into a shootout in a London nightclub with Major Blood and some Cobra mooks, going to a car chase through the city next game. GM did a hilarious impression of him too.

Not a masterclass of a game, but a perfect junk food casual game if you're fans.

It doesn't surprise me that WoTC wants to desecrate both Spelljammer and Dragonlance now. Both of Spelljammer and the Dragonlance creators have been very critical of the direction that WoTC has taken D&D, especially Tracy Hickman who infamously posted the infamous "Reject Modernity, Embrace Tradition" meme in response to many of the stupid bullshit changes that WoTC has done to pander to the Twitter gender freak crowd. Hmm... A major billion dollar corporation disrespecting the still living creators by desecrating their life's work in order to pander to LGBTQ and Marxist activists. Geez, this sure does sound familiar. I wonder which company WoTC is becoming more like?
