Even if the leftist crusaders pump up a new platform this is still a good thing because they would at least have to admit that their platform is unabashedly left wing. The current state of social media platforms allows them to hide behind a veneer of establishment and authority vs the edgy alternatives like gab, gettr, truth social, etc. And the left is already hostile to Facebook because of some bizarre notion that Zuck the Cuck is Right Wing and using his platforms to promote Republicans.

Put all the leftists and journalist crusaders on their own platform and see them survive without all the escorts, onlyfans models, SoundCloud rappers, porn addicts, and general low iq idiots posting their random musings throughout the day.

Twitter still sucks. I created an account today, and was reported and locked within hours. I refuse to give them my actual name and/or other information, so changed my login information and I deactivated it.
Don't bother signing up again if you deleted an old account, the extremist acronym brigade is still in power on that platform. Someone else was calling me slurs, but I was reported and locked.

Tim Wise is a professional "anti-racism activist" - in other words, his career comes from maintaining that "white supremacy" is a meaningful problem that totally exists and has to be dealt with, but if it ever somehow was he would be out of a job. So of course, it never will be.

There's no point in listening to professional grifters like him because their life is so heavily bound up in pushing a specific narrative. Someone like Ray Comfort or Ken Ham isn't going to come out of the woodwork one day and say "look, after doing more research I've realised that evolution is real and the Earth is more than a few thousand years old, please ignore everything I've ever said", are they? Tim Wise will never change his tune for the same reason. If you're looking for an unbiased answer about problems related to race relations he is literally one of the last people on Earth you should ask.

As Upton Sinclair once said, "it is difficult to get a man to understand something when his salary depends upon his not understanding it".

I am hesitant to accept this viewpoint. We move to right wing values and sure, even I can agree that it will be healthier for society, but it's not much more than moving the goal posts.

Power doesn't walk itself back. It's not like the next party steps in and figures the power is worthless or that they need to be good people. They will wield the same power with different goals. The fact that some Western nations have already codified into law some very authoritarian measures, we're in the worst place possible for any party to govern. The system itself is broken and while we may find comfort as a different head oppresses a different body of citizens, the pendulum will swing back once again.
