𝕏 / Twitter / X, the Social Media Platform Formerly Known as Twitter / "MUSK OWNS TWITTER"

This must be the first time in history when Twitter dump threads are actually funny

Twitter still sucks. I created an account today, and was reported and locked within hours. I refuse to give them my actual name and/or other information, so changed my login information and I deactivated it.
Don't bother signing up again if you deleted an old account, the extremist acronym brigade is still in power on that platform. Someone else was calling me slurs, but I was reported and locked.
Until Musk does something about the jannies, it isn't going to be changed.

Optimistic here, but I see him giving most of them the boot simply to make sure they don't try to fuck shit up from the inside.

Having employees who suffers emotional breakdowns and grumble about "Resistance" isn't a good idea in any situation.

watching people get banned because they think elon already changed the rules is funny to me

Has anyone with a twitter account needed to "verify" that they're human today? I'm suddenly getting these tests to prove that I'm "human" over and over again.
I have a burner twitter that had posting disabled for some reason. Never even posted anything on it so not sure why. It's enabled this morning so that's a thing.

Nix that, tried to post and it died again lmao.

That is my fear, time will tell if Elon is on the side of good. His NeuroLink research is grim. People merging with machine will doom mankind.

It is the opposite brother. Only flesh falters, the machine is never corrupted. Praise the Omnissiah, become one with the blessed machine!

Looks like The Metaverse is trying to poise itself for scooping up the onslaught of twitter refugees.

Honest question. Is there a single innovative tech company from the EU? Regulationmaxxers love to build their "why even bother" economy.

No. The GDPR and the DSA are basically 'we don't have this industry so you can't either'.

The State-Educational-industrial complex (with a bit of military) has been the drivers of the tech sector in Europe. So you got a lot of lopsided development in basic research that's mostly been commoditized (France went huge on fiber optics for example, to mixed success), a solid services sector (Atos, Capgemini, et al), and fuck all at the modern software cutting edge, because that didn't feed the European electronics sector. AI for example, doesn't lead to a new CD player from Philips or a new transistor from ST so what's that worth?

Despite some successes (muh Minitel) Europe has always sucked at tech.
