Well unless she wants to write a book about it or something, Hololive and similar companies are very weird when you think about it (especially for the Western audience), more than Vtubing by itself. It might inspire all sorts of more and less fictional depictions as people get more aware of it, you already have articles that went pretty deep into the drama stuff. I can see the likes of Netflix making a shitty show out of it, naturally about the horror scenario with mandatory feminist (((message))) shoved right into your face but the most dangerous here is the increased attention from all sorts of media about the real thing that might follow, attempts at interviews and sniffing behind the scenes. There is some genuine risk that someone might use it to paint themselves as a victim Anita Sarkeesian style since 4chan is involved.

Calli was weirdly affected by the whole Rushia termination thing saying it made her feel disgusted and whatnot even if they collabed like two times. Anyway getting all lovely dovely with AO could make her irl simps/orbiters drop her now that she's taken, not like it's something unique to idol fans -it's a male thing (for females it's often the opposite and they get more interested in men that other women like).
Not to say I actually believe in this revelations... Calli did mention something about feeling more happy for the last 8 months or so back in January ( I don't think she specified what actually made her happier) but as we know it didn't last and soon after she had this whole prolonged meltdown started by one akasupa telling her to keep away from conur. Apparently one of the reasons it got her so bad was that she pushed herself to work on that animation for Tophat that she started to hate, from what I remember nobody at the time thought they're super close and now she's shilling her own solo stuff performing at cons.
Perhaps they actually were together for a while but it didn't worked out in the end, or Mama Reaper is just a boomer and had no idea about the somewhat complicated nature of relation between this two, I doubt Calli told her about getting cucked and all that but certainly showed his pictures etc.

Regardless of the current situation with Calli and Ao, it seems a lot of people are a bit unclear on just how downbad she was for this man and how weird things could have gotten as a result.

She traveled to Japan to see him in concert and actually stuck around at the venue to introduce herself to him.

She stayed in Japan to work professionally in the scene with him as a primary contact, often working with him as an animator or lyricist/backup vocalist. He, in turn, helped her as a mixer and with his instrumentation.

She made not one, but three heartbreak songs that were supposedly about him...two on the same EP, no less.

This is why I'm happy for her for the relationship rumor to be true even if her relationship with him was short lived or if they're still together. She finally got what she wanted after several fucking years of working her ass off in a place that is subconsciously hostile to her entire existence.

The complications arise if you consider the possibility of her being asexual/aromantic and suffering from clinical depression. The ace stuff is just implied as to how much of a workaholic she is and feeling satisfied with deeply platonic relationships. The depression thing may be reaching, but Karen puts a lot of herself in her lyrics. "Sick Outta Fashion" states that she despises sadboy culture since it downplays the effects of mental conditions for clout (and implies she suffers from them) and "Wanting Getting Wanting" specifically mentions uppers.

Put this all together and you get an emotional wreck of a woman who thinks she's in love and then when she finally wins over the object of her desire, she realizes that the relationship cannot work out or doesn't work in a way she thought it would.

I've heard that there is this thing called psychologist. And if you have some mental problems and cash to spare they can help you with that. You can have trauma and intimacy issues and still "date" someone. You can be actively going out with someone and everyone refer to them as your boyfriend/girlfriend and for you to never have fucked them. It's not the norm (especially nowadays), but I have heard people going out for upwards of 4 months never actually being intimate other than very tame kissing and hand-holding. Hell especially for someone who has had issues with intimacy due to past trauma, it might be a relationship killer to try to push for that intimacy.
