Brad Chapman, a butthurt SysDumbs Engineer at NBC Universal Media has been busy soliciting network admins on the Outages-discussion mailing list for legal/technical advice on how to de-peer a certain autonomous system (Twitter) for "disruptive activity"...

I wonder if NBC Universal Media knows that one of its engineers is trying to get Twitter depeered, potentially opening them up to a suit for tortious interference?

We call them "jannies" 'round these parts.
No no, dear reader. SysAdmins are not jannies. Jizzmopping forum moderators are "jannies". Also Helldesk workers. However, this guy strikes me as being about as much of a SysAdmin as Harvey Birdman is an attorney. I mean, if you've got as much of a background in admin as this guy claims on his LinkedIn, well, then he should have already been able to answer his own fucking question.

He calls himself a SysAdmin and then: (1) lists himself as being fluent in both "Mac" and also "UNIX"; (2) waxes poetic about how much UX matters; and (3) Spends an entire paragraph talking about how collaboration is cool. Dude is sus.

Also has absolutely no *nix certs whatsoever. No RHEL. No nothing. He's a mac fag. I'm calling it: This guy's a Helldesk flunkie.

That's an interesting hypothesis from that gab post. Yeah, these retards don't know how the internet works. What they might be trying to do is suss out/float trial balloons for getting whole portions of the internet just gone. Or at least forced to use links which will slow them down.

In case you people don't know how these journo/elite types communicate and coordinate, THIS is how they do it.

Interesting how this has escalated. We've gone from them getting domain names revoked and DDoS providers blacklisting sites (lol dailystormer) in around 2017, to now 5 years later they are really taking it to the tippy top and trying to get whole AS's nuked. If I was a board member of ARIN I'd be lawyering up and making sure no-one can plant a car bomb on me.

I've been skeptical of this twitter thing because I've just been assuming this is an excuse by Elon to implement some kind of digital ID and be able to tie that to people posting naughty things. Just a big fuckin honeypot that rightwingers seem to adore falling for. But if they actually go through with breaking the internet on a fundamental level like this, it might be time to re-evaluate that position.

Literally nothing on Twitter has changed yet aside from ownership and he's already freaking out
It did - they dropped the various undocumented "features" throttling the "threats to our democracy". There are widespread reports of sudden jumps in follower counters, thousands of users saying they were suddenly unbanned for no reason, or having suddenly different content selection appearing on the dashboard etc. There was something fishy going on, now they're swiping it under the rug. That's also probably the real reason why that pajeet lawyer girl cried. They lied about it to the buyer, which is not exactly legal.
