Super Mario Wiki / SuperMarioBoards / NIWA Wiki Community - Current Happening: Wiki Troons scammed out of 75 Grand, no more money for dilators

So are we for or against this embezzler? Seems pretty fucking talented at this if you ask me.
Personally I am neutral. One one hand he ran off with 75 grand. On the other hand, he doxed himself while doing it so it remains to be seen if he will actually get away with it or not. If he wins, then he pulled off a really hilarious heist. If he manages to have it all come crashing down on him because he did said heist while leaving a calling card with his full dox, then he is a gigantic doxed buffoon.
Also while we're still on the subject, is the DOOM wiki run by spergs just because it is a wiki? I'm not talking about FANDOM trash, but this: https://doomwiki.org/wiki/Entryway
I am not super familiar with the DOOM wiki, but the Halo wiki dude seemed kinda cool from what I've overserved. The smaller wikis tend to have a lot less drama and faggotry associated with them. Mostly because a lot of them are run by one person who (for some reason) really cares. Things get more and more autistic as the size gets larger. You get absurd vortexes once you get into MarioWiki, Wikirby and Bulbapedia.

I also find that the more a wiki has a reason to exist, the less retarded the users are. For example, Fire Emblem Wiki has never had a significant controversy in the last decade as far as I am aware (other than AWOL admins). I honestly attribute that to the fact that FEWiki is genuinely useful as a resource in a casual playthrough (though its still a glorified scan of a strategy guide, at least people might actually want that guide). There is less autistic detail like Mario Wiki has where they catalogue the birthday of the 1-1 first goombah, and more of a focus on shit someone might actually ever care about, so the userbase reflects that (aside from the cum brains but the site tried to counter that).

No. Wikis like this are pretty rare, actually; almost every single time they don't have a self-history page or really any decent encyclopedic information. The pages are usually barren like on the MOPAR Wiki. You can tell this isn't run by aspies because it doesn't try to say vague statements on character traits or random in-game factoids about who or what you're reading about, too. Decent wiki, rare exception to the rule that a Wiki has generally zero truly valuable information. Like maybe Nukapedia and Bulbapedo or RDR Wiki (after RDR2 dropped) actually have stuff you wouldn't know or might use in a playthrough. That's an accomplishment for your site, tbh.

Wakolzo is/was a mid 20 year old "girl" whos biggest achievement in life was "climbing the ranks of Mario Wiki". TBH, as far as I know, they are actually dead or at least partying it up with Byuu in Cuba or wherever. Officially, they are considered gone. Il look more into it though..
Most likely retired, probably got sick of being a gigantic fucking NEET loser who reads game manuals and copy pastes them to a Wikia page; deciding instead to get a job and maybe even have kids. I'm dead serious, seen losers like that all the time in my life. I'm not even fucking old, most of them are my age.

Those wikis referenced, literally are just copy and pasted content from game manuals. Only because there is no other manner in which that information could have been derived. Which is, how much work is that really? Also not like these sites can be edited by anyone, as some of my fellow farmers have already demonstrated. So who knows how well these wikis are actually moderated, and no fucking way would this guy be doing it.
You're really word-salading there brother, but you're catching on to the reason why nobody past 13 y/o (physically or mentally) uses fandom wikis.

I did not add it to the OP because its not quite related to the recent drama, but its funny none the less.
their newspaper is actually a phenomenal read. You can watch a nearly 30 year old weeaboo discover character development

If this becomes a community watch thread, il feature some of these in the OP
What in the world is this? Feels borderline Something Awful.

Why does this Alex95 name sound so damn familiar. What else has he done as I've seen that name before somewhere else but I cannot pin down where.

After going down the google image search rabbit hole there's at least a dozen people named alex95 and since he was big in the SSB world there might have been some crossover into the M.U.G.E.N scene which I dabbled into eons ago. Maybe, possible, unsure.

Yeah I tend to do that sometimes, but I agree with your observations on FanWikis. Either a barren wasteland that resembles Chernobyl, or is littered with unnecessary information that has no purpose beyond self inserts. I only know of some of these wikis because I used to occasionally browse some of them when I was in my Nintendo phase when I was 11 or 12. Though, in those days not many of them really existed.

Just browsing through this specific Mario Wiki I can see a bunch of unnecessary information, or literal copy and pasting of entire plots with no new information. Like holy fucking shit, the amount of information on a random enemy like Amp just gave me a seizure. I can't believe there is even an article on the health meters in the different games, with copy and pasted details of the health meters. Outside of a goof, why would I go to the Mario Wiki to read up a UI mechanic. You would think with 75k fundraised for the website, at least they would of had some exclusive information from one of the developers or something. Nope, just copy and paste talking about the origin of how the clock works in the original game.

75K raised for an admins personal use. That does not make their situation any less pathetic, however.

ETA: This seems to be a common misconception, I reworked the OP and added more screenshots while I was at it

Ray trace is very interesting. He has a rational wiki account (a) where they have such epic zingers like:

and an essay on Video game culture and genderfluidity (a)

There is also this wiki entry (a) made by a Ray trace hater (?) which features epic images like

Lol both sisters have Deviantart accounts. The autism on display is blinding.

It's a laugh a minute over here, ladies and gentlemen. (Are these even jokes?) The other guy just has ten billion pictures of Baby Luigi. What's with the Baby Luigi obsession?

This is rekindling my love for Fantendo Wiki shit. Is there a thread on here for that? The autism there is all you can eat buffet-style.

Nukapedia likes to note quest glitches and oversights as well as workarounds for bugs, so that's where their spare time went in instead of the copy/paste shit

on top of that, notes which platforms the bugs are effected on and the chances you'll get it on that platform.

Without it I wouldn't know either how to properly finish the Barney missions in 4.

RDR2 wiki is the only place to properly learn about the cache overflow bug, which is on the page with how hair growth in game works. The forums are better about how the in-game filters and effects are applied on a per-patch basis tho.

Well the fun thing is, this thread is about to be shifted to a CW thread on the network as a whole, with this event being the first major happening. It should be moved pretty soon!
