General Discussion for Virtual Youtubers / Vtubers / Chuubas - it's okay to be a simp for 2D, just don't thirstpost.

3d live about to start
That first number was really sexy, and she followed it up with Unison, it's almost too much. Odd though that there were no backup vocals for Unison, but there are for Ahoy.

EDIT: If I could buy a beer for whoever suggested LiveTL I would. It's a major improvement for all streams, but especially popular JP ones like this with translators in the chat.

EDIT: Odo duet WITH POLKA! Welcome to my playlist, kiddo.

EDIT: Marine is doing some kind of fast-talking high pitched cartoon voice for her group number with Korone, Noel, and Lamy. She's a very skilled performer, as we already knew.

EDIT: She kept Rushia in the MV. Feels.

Holyshit, you guys are right saying the UI looks like shit. That's a design used for mobile shooters

They spent a lot of their time focusing on the pvE side (mostly end game) and mobile user gacha bait.
The pvp on the beta we're seeing is just the leftover notes of kaplan and the team as they're trying to rebalance how healing/armor/shield/stuns work.

Agreed. It's going to be a great show.

Plus, Cover released Minase Rio like two weeks later so they didn't learn whatever lesson this is supposed to teach either.
Rio ain't a woman, though. Unless, you have the roommate identity. I have heard Rio in his streams and his voice does have masculine touches here and there. I mean, for HoloStars look no further than Izuru. He has never hidden the fact that he likes to crossdress. I don't see any issue, as you have also said, as nothing bad has happened with the talent that work for Holo/Niji that would have us ringing the "woke alarm".

With a better close up, she looks like a tubby mall goth while performing. Throw in some slurs and she could become Mori Self Indulgence

I'm not sure what your angle is here.
What are they supposed to learn from it, in your opinion?
Either commit outright or drop the gimmick whilst they still can if I am blunt, much like Fulgur did with his edgelord persona. Whilst a hefty percentage of NijiEN's talent is openly LGBT, merchandise and official published documentation stresses a very straight presentation of talent. Uki's recent "Sakura Bloom" voice lines for example couldn't be anymore tone deaf from management. In turn, Yugo is still referred to as a she by fellow gen-mates. Alban and Sonny kept calling Yugo it during the most recent Valorant stream, so it's not a one and done error either. Yugo has certainly received a fair share of stick from the East Asian side of the internet and some subsects of the West, beyond the Earthquake situation purely due to the trans element too.

Frankly most of the problems aren't even tied to Yugo. Management let them down and rushed them into a wave that they weren't really prepared for or really should have been apart of. They've even admit so on stream.

Guess who ended up showing up in the new MV.

Surprised she kept it in. Pirate hag is just too nice

That concert was just really fucking FUN! The songs with Korone/Lamy/Noel and Polka made me laugh with the weird voices they were doing, Sorairo Days with Ayame was more energetic than you'd expect for queen of laziness. There was some really good choreography too for a small fat old woman

Its not surprising seriously. Marine and Rushia is pretty close.

But that was a character he was playing, and he still utilises his edgelord character in a different way. Yugo isn't playing a character.

I am pretty sure they write their own lines or have input on it.

First I've heard of it. Not saying you're wrong, though.
Yugo has certainly received a fair share of stick from the East Asian side of the internet and some subsects of the West, beyond the Earthquake situation purely due to the trans element too.
This just isn't true. I'm checking the tags and seeing what people are saying all the time so I have a finger on the pulse of any brewing drama. At most, Japanese fans have not immediately understood that the idea was 'Bishounen', and some people have explained that it's the EN version of Masaru or Mashiro, or even Melissa if you want to talk roommates and they generally get it.

There's no outrage over transgenderism because neither Yugo nor the roommate are trans and being trans isn't an immediate cause for public scrutiny in Japan's younger generations watching V-Tubers. Crossdressers and female voice actors of male characters are extraordinarily common and even iconic in Japanese pop culture.

Frankly most of the problems aren't even tied to Yugo. Management let them down and rushed them into a wave that they weren't really prepared for or really should have been apart of. They've even admit so on stream.
So now symptoms of Imposter Syndrome are to be used to criticise a member/management rather than be a point of sympathy towards the person working hard to overcome it?

Yugo is doing fine and deserves to be there. He can make music, has a strong singing voice, is a JP/EN/KR bridge, and churns out long 5+ hour streams pretty easily. Having a weakness of not being able to read the room perfectly in big collabs is certainly something that needs addressing, but it's a lot of talent to throw away solely because of it.

Redheads are great not sure why hollywood keeps trying to replace them with black people.

Rearrange the word 'gingers' enough and it will become clear.

"You want how much? That bitch ain't worth that much, keep it in."

I want to know how much this two-plus minutes pro animation cost her, since it was out of her pocket alone. I know she also pays for all the little animated skits on her channel, too. They must be making decent bank if she can afford this, and people like KSon can drop six figures on an entirely new Live2D setup.
