If he reads that he's coming across as narcissistic and ignorant of his privileged upbringing, he's probably interpreting it as just "Your content overrepresents some things and underrepresents others," just something worth a quick fix so we can't justify the criticism anymore, as if less glory to himself and more pointing out the less privileged would fix it all. In reality, the issue is with his whole vibe, something that was there even pre-trans, something that's already been tainted by the moves he's proudly made.

Seeing "Abi" reads just the same as "Olly" in my mind, knowing from much experience that they're pointing to the same referent, but seeing him actually called she is jarring. He probably reads us calling him "he" and thinks we're making a brazen statement of hate. But "she" just doesn't even occur to me when I think of him.

Suppose I show you a picture with these words: red, purple, yellow, blue, pink, orange. I tell you, "Tell me the color of each word. Not the text - don't you dare miscolor the transcolor words."

Maybe you'll get the fifth one right, but it's not going to come as easily. You'll have to suppress your urge to say the text instead. The idea is that you're applying the same rule to all the words. But the way it actually feels from the inside is that you're making a special exception for the fifth one.

Just as reading text comes automatically (more than thinking to retrieve a color word), we can judge someone's sex quickly, and that's been the basis of calling otherwise unknown people "he" or "she" our whole lives. Seeing someone as unambiguously a member of one sex but having to call them otherwise imposes a bit of a cognitive load. I just can't do it for Olly. He's not one of us women.

In my humble opinion, one of the worst things that have developed during the Internet era is Americans jumping into political discussions of other countries expecting exact parallels to their own (I have seen the "the only good Republicans are Irish" joke a lot around IRA larping) but evidence of how royally cucked the anglosphere has become is that we are starting to do the same.

One thing that I fucking hate about troons is that they expect external thoughts to conform to their entirely internal reality.
It used to be a fairly common movie trope where someone would return to their roots and their old friends and family would still see them as the young hick kid who used to tussle with the blokes down the lane rather than the self-made millionaire they are now.
You don't get to dictate your terms upon someone's collaborative experience. You might be whatever you express yourself as, but your "dead" name, your friends, your family, all those experiences that occured when you had trimmed hair, a cock and balls, and were called "Oliver" will never disappear. Trying to change that comes across like Ryan from The Office- no one takes it as seriously as you, and you destroy yourself by highlighting it and making it a weakness. You'll fly away to transphilia land and then come back to TERF island as quickly as you left, hair cut, cock in hand, trying to pretend like you never made those videos wearing spandex and dresses.

To be fair, Americans have had to put up with Europeans butting in for a while now. It's only natural to make the parallels when Europeans end up convincing and deluding people into thinking that Democrats = CDU and Republicans = NSDAP.

I know that Olly skinwalking Contrapoints is the most obvious point in the world to make but I thought I'd screenshot the youtube thumbnails on their respective channels and its amazing how much something so small reveals:

I was thinking about this when the Transhumanism video showed up on my recommended feed, despite my best efforts, because seeing the thumbnail gives absolutely no indication about anything noticeably transhumanist, its just Olly's big fat face plastered on with next to no additional context beyond the title. The main message you get is that this, for both Olly and Contra but especially Olly at this point since he still actually makes content, is mostly just a profile building campaign to make them feel like big celebrities, as if the camera fawning over their face while they wear whatever ridiculous, thematically appropriate costume they have should be enough of a draw in and of itself to bring in eyeballs. Note the difference compared to other educational channels like Sci-Show or Eons where they barely ever show the hosts in the thumbnail, usually only for the most casual videos, and instead its something that directly relates to the topic at hand first and foremost because they understand that while people might recognize somebody like Hank Green, the purpose of the a Channel like that is to give some basic education, not make Hank Green famous. Its more in line with something you'd see from a Fortnite streamer who makes their money gurning for the camera with wildly exaggerated reactions or being a hot girl who plays videogames.

What's particularly funny about this is that Olly actually did used to have some sense that the video thumbnail should probably revolve around the actual topic moreso than around himself, if you sort his vids by oldest you can see how things look completely different with no sign of his face at all:

Of course the actual videos are mostly just a close up of his face while he blurts out undergraduate knowledge of major philosophical figures and concepts, but at least the basic presentation was trying to be more informative and less nakedly narcissistic.

You can also see how he really cribbed from Contra's naming scheme in his recent videos too, just single words describing very broad topics, ie 'men', 'voting', 'transhumanism' or 'logic', as if we're going to get the final word on this entire topic in a rambling frequently wrong on basic facts half hour video from either of these intellectual powerhouses.
