His sanctions managed to force Europe to buy the gas in Rubbles and increased India and China importation of Russian oil and gas due to the lower prices. All of that caused the Rubble to not only recover but also increase in value, it is amazing how bad the sanctions backfired
It's really amusing, to watch in real time.

Oh sure, the pro-sanction side would correct to point out that the lack of high end electronics and machinery will eventually bite them in the ass. Maybe. Assuming smuggling isn't a factor anyway.

But they conveniently fail to mention one thing: for sanctions to work and to work properly, you need to be able to decouple yourself from said economy to begin with. Sanctions do not fucking work when you're still forced to buy something you need-- vital even-- from the country in question. Russia has the EU by the balls and Putler knows it; and no amount of hem and hawing from the EU elite can paper over that reality.

Goddamn, I'm genuinely amazed. New York's Court of Appeals (where EVERY judge was appointed by a Democrat) just threw out the DNC's bullshit gerrymandered map, for good. It is officially dead now.
Damn. The DNC's cheque must have bounced really hard.

EDIT: Also @Salubrious how hard is your copium supply rn? The local GOP might actually oust Hochul at this rate.

Apparently, they also took the power away from the legislature to make the map. I have absolutely no faith in these "independent committees" but I guess anything is better than that one.

The guy who spearhead the sanction plan against Russia is jumping ship.

I gota admire at how much the Democrats fucked up this sanctions vs Russia bit.

It turned out that it only harmed the Western world as the rest of the world shrugged their shoulders at Biden's ultimatum and went on buying Russian Oil and other goods while the EU is now facing a huge energy shortage which will hammer their industry, economies and general quality of life as inflation will hit just that much harder.

Really Biden's whole term so far has been uniformly terrible. He's done almost irreparable harm to Western Interests and help drive opposing forces together by aligning Russia, India and China.

I'm not much of a conspiracy nut but it seems almost too good to be an accident. In less then two years Biden drove Russia and India into China's sphere of influence, help to drive the creation of a new Anti-SWIFT group and allowed China to expand it's footprint all the way into the Solomon Islands without any push back.

All of this shit will have long term conquences for the Western world, that may not be fixable.

As a point of technicality, the court decided they would appoint someone to draw a new map (while allowing people to submit their own proposals), rather than send it off to another committee.

Whatever they produce will certainly be a lot letter than the legislature's map from hell though.

Now, being an American myself, obviously I stand to benefit a lot from the continued prosperity of America in particular, and the West in general.

That being said, what has that brought us? Western civilization basically IS globohomo at this point. Would it REALLY be so bad to return to a multipolar geopolitical climate where the US is no longer the top-dog thankless protector of the entire free world? I don’t even know if America being the sole dominant force in the world is even a good thing for America, much less the rest of the world.

Well having looked further into the origins of Nina.

Apparently she is descended from pollacks who immigrated to South Africa, and then immigrated again here.

So apparently she is retarded and worse, has the smug behaviors of those light skinned fags from down there.

And came from New Jersey, a trifecta.

Nina: My name is Nina Jankowitz. I grew up in New Jersey and now I live here in the D.C. area. And in 2016 to 2017 I was a Fulbright public policy fellow in Kiev Ukraine, where I advised the Foreign Ministry of Ukraine on strategic communications issues.

Yes actually it would. American hegemony has brought a level of peace to the world it hasn't seen...well ever really.

If your curious, go look up the period from about 1825 thru to 1945. Not fun times because there were so many various powers all striving to carve out little empires and alliances which always embroiled others in their petty wars and would inevitably blow up into major conflicts. Thankfully the shit level weapons tech kept it from becoming too over the top but still...WW2 saw something on the order of 100 million world wide deaths.

Right now we have 1 dominant power, who is thankfully pro-freedom and independence (to a degree) and that keeps all the little war mongers in line as they know if they step too far out of line Daddy America will come by and knock their shit in. Even an emerging power like the EU and China have to kowtow to the US in the real sense.

Imagine a world made up of a few smaller alliances and whut not, how long do you think it would take before Chairman Meow would begin to bite off chunks of nearby nations? How long would the China and South Sea's be open for all nations?

It's the US's big stick that keeps all these shitty little authoritarian nations under control and allows international commerce to flow freely. Never underestimate how important to world trade the US Navy is.

Of course all thats now at risk with a weak president whose aligned (I mean kinda aligned as in he might be vaguely aware of what he's saying) with powers who want to see the US hemongy end for their own reasons.

Limitless prosperity is exactly what got us to our current state today, though. Maybe it could’ve went on for a few more decades under a more competent President, but the kind of wild, unrestrained consumption it led to is simply unsustainable in the long term.

80 years of peace and prosperity ain’t a bad run for the Pax Americana. Would’ve been cool to hit 100 years of peace, but whatever. Ideally I’d like the good times to stay forever, but I think this collapse was inevitable sooner or later.
