Continuing with the trend of weird guns, we have a pro Russian fighter with a suppressed Saiga 12 shotgun. Interestingly enough, it's a sporter version, not a military version. They used to be imported to the US in this configuration, then either sold that way, or modified to the military style one because of how US import laws work. I wonder if this was one that was made for export to the US, but got stuck in Russia when the import ban on Russian guns started years ago.

They make a ton of those for the domestic market too. With Russia's gun laws you have to be a licensed owner of a shotgun for 5 years before you're allowed a rifle.

I'm just somewhat surprised they gave out a sporter one, they're pretty impractical and heavy for combat. I think they have 24 or 28 inch barrel in that configuration, and from personal experience, I can say it's at least 10 pounds loaded, probably more with that suppressor. They're also kinda finicky about ammo, but that's a semi auto shotgun thing that's not unique to the saiga, and from what I know, the Russian military runs them with full brass shells, so it may not be an issue in this case.
