That language is present with most streams but is completely transparent. I have a donation link but I always make sure to mention it's supporting me personally since I am an individual and not a business. Phil using that specific language is an obfuscation tactic to make it look like his channel is a larger operation. I personally take more offense to him using the term "crowdfunding" since that term is specifically used when talking about startups and independent projects. It's just a way for him to get around from saying he's begging, like him getting autistic over the idea that the word "donation" inherently implies that it's for a charitable organization and his belief that big streamers are all tax dodgers from using such terminology.

He just got used to it like people get used to rather unpleasant jobs and activities. Working outdoors the first few weeks is meh, but then people adapt and are dealing with it. Same with him.
