Certain positions are currently anchor points, permanently unacceptable opinions to have. The window becomes something like this: Unacceptable, Crazy, Fringe, Acceptable, Moderate, Acceptable, Unacceptable. With the "center" now being... lefty views. Moderate views are the new acceptably right leaning views, whereas conservatives are now... the fringe. And anything past the GOP is unacceptable. Sound familiar to anyone?

But that's just the right. Look at what happens over on the left. The Fringe views, your radical black activists and your antifas and your marxists, they used to be the fringe, and now they're... acceptable left wing viewpoints. I think the last sentence is the key. Dishonest or stupid media scream "1.9 million users!!!" and maybe they include the tables which show that's about 0.5% of their claimed user base, which is probably not "material" and for now can be passed off as an honest mistake by a technical team that's never been the greatest.

But there's going to be more where that comes from; the excitable Jack Posobiec claimed:

Why do people have so much faith in Tesla? Their Self Driving Program, while more advanced than other legacy car companies, is a joke compared to the stuff from dedicated SDC companies like Waymo and Cruise. They had the first mover advantage in EVs, but 10 years later they still have major fit and finish issues, and the overall luxury for the price point is just awful. When I step into a new $80k Model S, except for the large screens it feels comparable to a $35k Accord Touring.

There are things I like about Tesla, but their market cap is higher than every other automaker combined, even with this slump. Why do people believe that once other automakers start mass-producing EVs, Tesla will still be competitive, when you can't sucker everyone into the "it'll be full self driving one day, I swear" scam, and most people care about more than just how advanced the ADAS setup is.
