This is only speculation but I have a feeling Twitch are having issues appealing to advertisers in general, so this is a move to boost their impression count to add value. People are barely seeing Twitch ads, and when they are it's on content a lot of advertisers would rather not associate their brand with like the ethot hot tub/microphone blowjob streams.

They could have a Twitch After Dark version for all the non-gaming content. Pretty sure they can secure ads for the non-thott side quite easily if they did.

Switching to Youtube, as much as I dislike Twitch, is bad for creators the same way Mixers demise was bad. Still, twitch and netflix in flames - can't wait.

This is more of a general warning for the people buying shit. Seeing the new Twitch update, I’m glad that that hellsite will finally be dying. Twitch culture is fucking awful. At least Youtube isn’t run by retarded troons. The only downside is that there’s less available monetization options but overall I like the simplicity more, and it certainly hasn’t stopped Hololive and Niji from getting cash money. Also, there’s less stream integration for various plugins, games and programs but I’m sure this will change.

Praying to God that the stupid audio-file-Bit plugin never comes to Youtube. It’s the most fucking annoying thing. If you don’t know, some streamers have a sound byte plugin that for a few hundred Bits allows an unfunny meme or annoying noise to be played. Completely ruins a lot of funny moments in streams because retards think the “OHMYGAAAHD” or fart noises will get them noticed.

Fiddling around with OBS.
OBS has a built in browser that I find is way less temperamental as a source than Display Capture or Window Capture.
In terms of video, it won't accidentally capture my browser if I accidentally mouse over to the screen that it is on, which was a problem I encountered with Display Capture.
In terms of audio, it won't pick up random Windows sounds (which I have turned off, but something always finds a way through, thanks Microsoft).

1. Open OBS.

The last few Pippa streams have been absolute buffering nightmares for me, even on the lowest resolution and after refreshing the page.
So my work around is to pop out chat as its own window for chat interaction and to just watch the stream in OBS, since I'm recording the stream anyway.
OBS defaults to Monitor Off for Audio Monitoring, so to turn on as to actually be able to listen to the stream:

For whatever black magic is at work, streams in OBS never seem to buffer unless it's a catastrophic one that everyone experiences.

They stressed in the graduation that they aren't going to elsewhere, even hinting at coporate ran outlets like Holo and Niji. Core reasons they opt to move on was general anxiety has prevented them from being able to stream and they wish to focus on art going forward. Han Chiho from Niji ID graduated around the same time so was hopping between both, however it was mostly just ugly crying over art and messages. Very uncomfortable.

Quick guide to archiving membership streams anyone?

As mentioned by Godzilla, yt-dlp.

1. Download yt-dlp. Put it in Users/*name* folder.
2. Get your YouTube cookings by going to YouTube.com and using something like "get cookies.txt" or "export cookies" (the latter works better for me personally).
3. Save that file in your Users/*name* folder and optionally rename it to "cookies-youtube-com.txt"
4. Start command prompt/CMD
5. Fill in : "yt-dlp.exe -f 22 --cookies youtube.com_cookies.txt -o CWherever\Youwant\%(title)s.%(ext)s https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=whatever"

-f 22 is the file format. 22 is normally 720p, which is more than enough for me personally. You can use "yt-dlp.exe -F https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=whatever" to see a list of available file formats.
--cookies is the command that allows yt-dlp to use your cookies to be logged into YouTube.
-o is the directory where you want the file to be downloaded to.
%(title)s.%(ext)s is the format that the file is saved as.
And you add the link of the video you want to download at the end.

That's how I do it anyway.
