This is very thorough and has pics of the emails of oprah and sheriff's reports. I don't think I've seen this one posted.

Heres what I find interesting or that I might have missed:

The Botkins are a real blast from the past! I looked them up and it seems like they're still not married.

They're basically the original Girl Defined. They were in Return of the Daughters, a documentary about stay-at-home daughters, and wrote a few books about being a single girl waiting for prince charming to come along. Their dad was Vision Forum royalty and after VF imploded due to Doug Phillips cheating on his wife they kind of disappeared, other than maintaining their website. I remember them being very into historical cosplay, I think mainly from the Tudor era.

As for Jill, didn't she say she didn't want more than 2 kids? I'm a bit surprised she's pregnant again, I assumed the miscarriage was an oops baby at the time but I guess not.

It did seem like an "oops" baby, but she was really shaken up by the very early miscarriage. They named it and everything. She even includes the few week old fetus in her bio as a dead child.

It seems her shock and grief over unexpectedly being pregnant and just as rapidly losing the pregnancy caused her to want another kid to stop the sad.

She announced the miscarriage in October; she was pregnant just weeks later as she was 5-6 months gone mid March.

As gross as the stereotypical fundie diet of boiled canned vegetables, dog food tier meat in a tube (never drained), condensed cream soup, radioactive orange cheez product, and frozen potato might seem to most of us, it does seem surprisingly good for fertility, I have to give them that much. As a group quiverfulls don't seem to be as staggeringly obese as I'd expect. I guess there's no opportunity to pig out on huge portions or seconds when you're fighting 20+ people with many of them being teenagers, and if they even keep snack food in the house the kids would probably get the shit smacked out of them for touching it.

I've known quite a few fat fundie dudes, but it's common for the women to be up and down plating everyone (have seen that mask anorexia), doing chores, and playing with the children; outside of his outside job, and depending on the couple, lawncare, the guys tend not to be that physically active. I also used to see fundies come in their little vans full of kids to skate rinks real late at night, like 10pm-1am, but surprisingly very few men. What's funny is that I have no doubt they went so late to avoid the crowds, among them scantily clad sluts, only to occasionally find themselves renting the rink right after roller derby practice, which I can assure you is usually composed of scantily clad sluts and queers of all stripes. But yeah, a lot of them are great at skating, it's a wholesome activity and I'm glad they have it.

Yeah usually, but tooth loss got a hell of a lot more common in most populations everywhere as humans adopted a more grain based diet and certainly since sugar became more accessible, with pregnancy just being one of many factors that made it worse (malnutrition and bad oral hygiene being the main ones). You don't see so many people anymore with many missing teeth or full dentures that are younger than Boomers at minimum, and in fundie populations with such enormous families I assumed it's unlikely this is a result of lots of highly expensive cosmetic dentistry. I just think it's a testament to agriscience and the cheap mass produced fortified slop industry as a whole that people can survive off that shit and spit out offspring in rapid fire without meth mouth and worse.

I think your point about people with missing or false teeth might be geographical or based on income and race. You see a lot of missing teeth out in the boonies and inner city, in the Hispanic and Indigenous communities (doubly if they're also fundie religious), in opioid belts, etc. I think there might be places in the country where it's a bigger deal than it is in others, unless you have meth mouth or one of your front two teeth is missing. But I think that kinda thing is more of a taboo in some places more than others.

What you say about grain-based diets and sugars makes a lot of sense, and being a gigantic history faggot, I should've thought of that. Fundies go through processed food like crack fiends, as much as they like to convey an image of homemade wholesomeness. Frozen starches, carbs, and industry-sized canned chow.

The thought of getting reproductive-aged girls on prenatals to prepare for their life as a broodmare is so fucking depressing. That's peak fundie for me, and I've lived amongst them. Goddamn.

It's definitely because they want their kids to attract a good mate, but they do tend to care about their teeth.

I mentioned Sheila before and how she has a blog debunking purity culture called To Love Honor and Vacuum and other false teachings Christian churches about sexuality from a Christian perspective. She actually recently interviewed on her podcast called Bare Marriage a person who escaped the Quiverfull cult recently and it is a really good episode.

It is a really good podcast by the way, she does a lot of book reviews of Christian marriage books like Love and Respect (every January she does an episode on stuff Focus on the Family releases about marriage and sexuality that is harmful until they listen to her) and Every Man's Battle and many more and critiques them. I would totally recommend her podcast, especially if you grew up in a conservative Christian church.

Of course, most of these fundies won't hear her at all, especially since she is a woman talking about this stuff and in charge of a ministry, after all, woman are supposed to remain quiet and obedient and let the men do the talking

yes i am from a decidedly NOT poor asian country, and when i was first introduced to the american community i was shocked to see how high their standards for tooth appearance are. straight, light coloured teeth are REEEEE PISS YELLOW TOMBSTONES even to the broke ass fat mutts that post on 4chan. adriana lima gets shit-talked for her teeth like they totally ruin the 9/10 other perfect features she has.

His lawyers have been requesting continuances in the hopes that the longer the time between trial and sentencing, the more the horror of what he's done will fade and the sentencing will go easier.

Admittedly late and gay but given the similarities with Josh, and the shocking nature of what happened to Sitara, I brought it here in case anyone else missed it. (Mobile posting plz no bully)

The Bret Smith family of Texas, fundie family associated with the Morton’s, best known for their eldest son serving a 30 year sentence since - you guessed it - he’s a pedo. Three of their bio daughters have cut off Mom and The Captain (Dad) related to this, but that’s fine because they just adopted more, silly! Here’s the family timeline from FreeJinger and it’s a better synopsis then I would ever create.

They had their 18 year old adopted daughter Sitara doing roofing work and tree felling with flip flops on, in August, alongside The Captain, who is 62 and in no shape to be doing such tasks, nor trained for felling trees and without equipment like an arborist should have.

Tragically, Sitara died when picking up branches and the tree went down right onto her. Her elderly adopted father was wielding the chainsaw. I know this is old news, but it’s so appalling that I wanted to bring it forth to this thread for anyone else who missed it.
