I'm reminded of how some male feminist said that "women were chattel!". Someone defending his dumb take argued that marital rape wasn't banned in the US until the 90s. Of course, rape was already illegal.

Before Elon Musk owning Twitter became a possibility, these are the same people who were REEEEEEEing about it being a cesspit of alt-right violence and the poor troons were bigoted against (despite misgendering being an insta-ban). They allegedly hated it already, but now it's super-extra hated. All the things they've said Elon Musk will do with owning Twitter are things they've already said Twitter was like, so what's going to change? Well, what's that thing they like to say about when you're no longer privileged it feels like you're losing rights, when you're just back in line with everyone else...?
It's basically a combination of 'when you start at Nazis, you've nowhere to go for anything worse' and 'I don't hate the rules, I just hate when they're equally applied to me'. None of these people are going to die (more's the pity), if even one out of the entire group of addicts declaring they'll delete their account actually goes through with it I'd be amazed, and they're all catastrophising and declaring themselves the enemy of free speech about something that still might not even happen. Hugboxes like ResetEra destroy optimism and happiness, because nothing is ever good enough and to be happy is to not be centering the miserable minorities, which is a hate crime. It's why they hate people telling them bad things aren't destined to happen, because how dare you interfere with their need to hate and fear and demonise?
Maybe they should take the hint and get off every platform except ResetEra. Oh, except of course ResetEra is constantly filled with alt-right Nazis, transphobes, racists and bigots of every kind as well, something the moderators fail to address and yet they never leave there either. Perhaps they just need to make their own forum, like a handful of the flouncers have done. They're doing great, I'm sure, and aren't dead due to being started by people too insufferable for ResetEra.

You could make the girls wear skimpy stuff in Xenoblade 1 too. It's possible to straight up remove all their armor and have them run around in undies and bras but I've never seen anyone complain about that.

Just to see what would happen at RetardEra,
I would like games to have a character generator where you could create a truly fat person. Like Amberlynn Reid levels of fat.
I.e. time for body positivity and representation.
But also to make it realistic that character would have a much larger hit-box than normal characters and also would not be able to run
more than 5-10 yards at a time before it would have to stop and catch its breath. I.e. super small stamina-bar and super-slow stamina recovery.
Would ResetEra:
1, celebrate representation of landwhales?
2, scream bigots because fatty can not run like Usain Bolt?
3, both?
(Would make an interesting type of DarkSouls challenge run.)
EDIT: Something like this in dark souls. When you pick the Amberlynn Reid body type that means:
The cons:
1, hit box twice as big as other body types
2, movement speed is cut to 25% or normal
3, stamina bar is cut to minimum
4, stamina recovery is reduced to 10% or normal
5, every 10 yards of movement stamina runs out and remains at 0 for 10 seconds. No movements or actions possible during this time.
6, any falls from higher than a few feet would be deadly
7, new status condition "heart-attack" that increases for every action you take and decreases when you are inactive. When it procs you take instant 50% damage.

The pros:
1, boost to damage negation due to built in armor (layers of fat)
2, largely immune to piercing attacks due to the flab.
3, would have very high poise thanks to 600pund body weight.
4, immune to attacks that send you flying through the air (i.e. dark knight greatsword special attack)

I would love to see that. Something tells me Resetera is indoctrinated enough by the "healthy at every size" crowd that they'd chimp out and ban discussion of the game.
Just "representation" isn't good enough for them anymore. That Cyberpunk game should have fulfilled all of their wildest tranny dreams with its interchangeable genitalia and voice pitch slider. But they got ONE thing wrong with the representation (I think it was having the character's pronouns decided by the voice pitch slider, not chosen directly) and suddenly the game is a tranny genocide.
I think they'd not only want fat characters to perform as well as athletic characters, but NPCs should be constantly telling them how attractive they are.
And I'm sure there was nothing in that video besides his humble request for more black video game characters, right?
I'm tempted to find that video to see how many times he said "cracker" or made sweeping generalizations about white people. They always misrepresent themselves.

This reminds me of Big the Cat from Sonic. If you don't know, Big the Cat is a really big guy. His name makes it obvious.
In Sonic Heroes, Big the Cat was a power character-type, meaning that even when he couldn't fly or be super fast, he was still super strong. The same thing technically applies to the first Sonic Adventure game. While he couldn't fly, go too fast or jump very highly, he still had superhuman strength to the point he could even lift enormous boulders.
So I think it would be interesting to make the Amberlynn Reid-type body similar to Big the Cat or Heavy from Team Fortress 2 (Heavy is not very fast, but he has lots of health and can protect his allies). A tank character.
Pros:
- Very sturdy, can't be sent flying easily
- Heavy and strong, can lift heavy things, break things easily and crush enemies
- Attacks cause more damage to enemies
- Very big lifebar
- High armor and defense, brings protection to allies
Cons:
- Not very fast
- Can't jump very highly
- Big hitbox

Not surprised that a dude who wants to outlaw free speech "everywhere" thinks that it was legal to lynch people until recently. Lynching's just a federal hate crime now, which means it's just a sentence enhancer. Which means it's just an avenue for prosecutors to try and define things as "lynching" so they can threaten people with the sentence enhancement. Not that a "progressive" forum that performatively hates cops and the justice system cares even if this just results in more people of color going to prison on federal charges of lynching. What truly matters is that it's now a federal crime for a murder to resemble lynching so it looks like a symbolic defeat of an uniquely white supremacist practice. Even though this does nothing to stop the worst crime of all: the "digital lynching" of troons online.

Most of the Era spin-offs actually aren't doing too bad. It's probably because they weren't spun-off because ResetEra was "not progressive enough" (except for a couple that are dead) but because PC, Xbox, Nintendo fans thought they couldn't get a fair shake from the moderators. The first two of these are more favorable to speech that ResetEra is, the latter tries to act like ResetEra but is slightly better in a few ways (the jannies aren't anonymous they have to sign the bans) that indicates they learned from some of Era's mistakes.
It's one of the few joke tags on there, only they don't think it's a joke tag. This is the dude who thought that a Smash Bros. screenshot of someone getting sprayed by water was a dogwhistle by the Japanese creator regarding his dislike of the American Civil Rights Movement to signal to his anti-Black fans.

Lots of "nonbinary" celebrities do this, Hikaru Utada is another example. She goes by "Mys." because she's a twice divorced woman and doesn't like people being aware of that. Back in 2021 people (who only suddenly started caring about Utada when she "came out" as nonbinary) made a giant fuss about calling her a "they" until she and her publicists listed that she goes by both "she" and "they". Tetsuya Nomura uses "she/her" when talking about her as well.
