This dude should go on Twitter sometime and see how many Russian state media and government accounts there are currently posting all the time including making up random shit and sometimes threatening to smash the International Space Station into the United States.

B-Dubs is being one of the few sane people in that thread and he's basically just saying that Twitter's not that important and a lot of it is already overrun with garbage from all kinds of people.

I honestly have no idea what Twitter most of the people in that thread seem to be using that's a "safe space" from bigotry, harassment, threats, misinformation, etc. with well curated intellectual thoughts as it's not the one I can access at twitter.com.

Like others are saying, what twitter are these people using? Only a few people like Trump were actually banned from twitter for being a far right person. Twitter already exists with actual fash adjacent republicans like Tom Cotton who say much worse thing than Trump ever did. Theres people who make tweets that are just NIGGER over and over or who post loli porn and other gross stuff.

What Elon is actually going to do to make Twitter shitty is far more mundane and fucking gay. Hes funded his purchase by taking on debt with higher interest payments per year than twitter made last year before taxes, so hes very likely going to add more money making schemes like paid for accounts and making "Latest Tweets" view a paid feature to force everyone to see promoted tweets or algorithm chosen garbage. Hes just going to make it insufferable to use, but normies are literal retards and will spend money because they don't care.

And even if he makes it super insufferable, everyone will still use twitter because theres no real alternative that fits this social media niche. What are people going to go to to get away from twitter? Reddit? Tumblr? Gamefaqs?

What's great about this is that under their rules, they have to cut Radiohead off entirely. When we hear an actor say something stupid we can still enjoy all their movies. But to these guys, one member of Radiohead tried to murder trans people, and now the entire band and their discography might as well be Mein Kampf.
