Nah it's just your perception. Many of your fellow posters aren't going anywhere either!

Plenty of people are working cashier jobs at age 60. You've at least got some sort of imagination and can maybe think of a better future for yourself. I have grandiose dreams of being some sort of creative bigshot and I make a very small effort on that every day and hate myself for not doing more. So my suggestion is to do a little each day to move yourself towards a dream, and try not to hate yourself.

maybe we need like a kiwi losers club or something

I hear Ukraine are still taking volunteers, go there commit some war crimes, get into some shoot outs cause you're not going there to die but to see if you're truly alive

Almost everyone is mediocre, and anyone who isn't has made great sacrifices in their life to not be mediocre. What's so bad about being like most people in the world? The rest of the world survives just fine being utterly mediocre.

If that's not good enough for you, consider the fact that you're certainly younger than middle age, meaning there's more life ahead of you than behind you, and that means you can choose just about any thing you want to specialize in and excel in it given that you put in enough time and effort. View your life in the framing of an autobiography written by a successful person. Any moment you choose can be the turning point in that book where you begin your journey from absolutely nobody important into "person that suckers other people into paying real money to read their life story".

What exactly makes a life mediocre?
The fact you don't have a big fancy career or fame and money? Those things don't make your life inherently more fulfilling.
Once you stop chasing after all that shit and appreciate everything you have in your life, you will stop being so whiny and depressed. My life is slow-paced and comfortable, I find joy in doing the things I love and the people around me. Start living for things outside of yourself.
You aren't starving, you aren't out in the cold, you aren't dying, you're doing a-okay 👍
