I know Phil is financially illiterate, but do you guys think he genuinely doesn't understand that people can't give him hundreds of dollars as SuperThanks and still have the usual amount of money to give as tips?

Or does he delude himself into thinking that there are hundreds of people who have started giving him money through SuperThanks, instead of the obvious truth that it's just the old whales with sock accounts?

As usual with Phil, the question isn't whether he's wrong or not, but in what way he's wrong.

Yeah, I just have gotten caught up on the detractor clips from the last few days that cover his acquisition of Super Thanks, so there's not a ton new to say. It's been predicted for a long time how he would act once he finally had it enabled and he's been very clearly jonesing for it as a new income stream.

Having said that, I have still been surprised (not sure how that's even possible at this point) how quickly and to what extent he has incorporated it into his daily begging. He's immediately gone full bore at it, talking about it a ridiculous amount in relation to what potential it actually has.

It's very clear that he absolutely considers this an additional means of income as opposed to an alternative one. He's tried to dress it up as being a thing for people who do not watch his streams but do watch his videos (people who he has repeatedly pointed at as needing to 'step up') to now support him, as if this is some demographic that has just been biding their time, clamoring for a way to dump their paychecks to him. He honestly sees this as a way for people like this to FINALLY start pulling their weight.

As it becomes more and more evident that this group of people does not exist, it's going to become just one more thing for him to rattle off as being 'concerning' when he does the daily breakdown of his monetary analytics, a very absurd thing that he actually does for an audience during what is supposed to be a gameplay stream. What a clown.

I’m watching the memology video now and all that comes to mind is that Phil, pale and bloated like Baron Harkonen, has spent the prime years of his life alone in his room playing video games at an absolutely basic level. Normally people who sink to these depths at least have their privacy. Not Phil, though. It’s all downhill from here.

nothing wrong with it if it's what you enjoy and want to do, but phil has neither of those going for him on top of the privacy, hahaha

Surely this must be breaking a begging record? And you know what's interesting, aside from the fact that he brings up that tips "are slower then usual", has he given any sort of reasoning as to why he's started to stealth beg? From what I can gather no, nothing at all.

He hasn't mentioned much at all about his taxes, he hasn't directly mentioned any bills and whether they're contributing to this requirement for more tips and not even anything about if he needs this money for his usual day off, as that happened a few days ago.

At face value this is just sheer greed, you'd also think as well that with Super Thanks recently been added to a bunch of YouTube channels like Phil's, that it would probably imply that his "fans" now have more ways to contribute directly to Phil and he wouldn't have to worry about reminding people to give him money, but no it's been the complete opposite the past few days, is he just spending truck loads more cash on Total Wine/Gacha/Door Dash or is it something more?
I'll admit to being a fucking autist but the way his begging has significantly ramped up in the last month or so tickles my autistic side to start believing the Mare doesn't work anymore and now it's all on poor phillus.

He is gonna milk Elden Ring until the end of summer isn't he? He is probably thinking along those lines as summer is usually a "game drought" so he needs to fill the void. Or he will do more DSP reacts to DTRH videos until that money well dries up or he gets copyright claimed.
He is absolutely gonna milk the shit out of ER. He had quite the rant yesterday about how disappointed he was that he got to the end game that everyone asked for and support was low. This triggered him because he was counting on being able to schedule ER to whenever he needs a quick cash injection and the realisation this may not be possible gave him the piggy sweats.

All the dentheads come out at night - whales, bait tippers, wings trolls, sock puppets, detractors, Elden Ringers, Derichs, sick, venal. Someday a real lean will come and wash all this scum off my chat. I lean all over. I gamepass on Outer Wilds, I Am Fish, Hades, I take 'em to Q&A. I don't care. Don't make no difference to me. It does to some. Some won't even take troll tips. Don't make no difference to me.

Before the malenia fight it was obvious he read guides and watched videos but he was so adamant about portraying that this was an area he had never seen and the boss was fresh and mot spoiled for him.

I will give some examples.

1) When he was approaching the point of grace before malenia he was like "that's a boss room there" and later after entering the fog wall he named Malenia specifically before it showed her on the screen.

2) during fighting her he was like "I wonder if it's the same in phase two ...err ..I mean obviously this would be a 2 phase fight"

3) for most bosses Phil has rushed in and tried to spam jump attack but he started this fight off, and every attempt, keeping a lot of distance which a lot of guides suggest doing this to avoid taking damage.

He has admitted to watching streamers and to seeing guides. Why, for this one, is he acting like he has seen nothing on her?

Also he is so fucking overlevelled. I'm honestly surprised he just doesn't go bleed with rivers of blood and just demolish her.

As a side note he thinks he has less than 9 hours of gameplay (he said 2 or 3 more streams to beat it) yet he hasnt beaten Malenia, hasn't done crumbling farum azula, and still needs to do Lyndell again after.

Crumbling forum azula alone will probably take him that long assuming he fights all bosses. Then 2 more bosses at Lyndell. At his pace he is looking at 20 more streams.

Judging by the completely dent headed way he goes about guides and using them, I can see him saying "I should really respec for this fight" spec into a rivers of blood build. Jump attack spam...

IF he doesn't have it he'll miraculously want to explore more and just happen upon Okina and think the RoB is a neat weapon he should try out. Then he'll just jump+r1 with it. Not have read patch notes for 1.04 the weapon skill which won't matter "gotta go J+r1"

I mean the guy had BB and never used Taker's Flame claiming the sword sucked compared to his spear because the fire based weapon didn't do damage against a boss with high fire resistance. dude made fun of someone who told him not to use a fire based weapon against a fire-resistant boss because it wasn't in the queen's English

He was complaining he had no way to do ranged in an int build with no magic main handing the darkmoon great sword. Spoiler! Push R2, get projectile.

He's 149 and doesn't know weapons have move sets or that ashes of war can be applied to weapons often adding or changing a weapon type. People complain ER doesn't have an easy mode, well I present to you DSP plays ER.

This fucker could summon "let me solo her" and he'd still fuck it up somehow.

This playthrough cemented for me that he has an actual mental disability, nothing about skill but how he processes information even using a guide.

The don't use fire on a fire-resistant enemy getting a "what are you talking about" at first I thought was ego but this inability to NOT jump attack, he claims he has a new build (mostly just swapping weapons) and doesn't use the weapon ability or ash of war the "build" would be based on.

He read the fextralife guide as he made the dark knight build and literally fucked it up to the point of where he's the kind of person who would burn down his house trying to wipe his ass.

He's 149 and knows nothing about the mechanics of the game, he used poise like people who want to talk shop with designers use font and he'll brag about how he's a soul vet and doesn't know he can just not level.

Anywho, phil, your review. No one is going to care about it. The uninformed delusional "hot take truth of the matter" has already been done by black DSP and some sperg who reviewed the game based on the community, the "beat the game taking your time and to take everything in" review, Max beat you to that. Gave it a 10/10 but not as good as bloodborne, phil, a 10/10 but not as good as bloodborne...HOW AM THAT BE! Damn shill..

Phil is upset that those mentally brain dead fucking morons are uploading his pre-stream podcasts to Spotify. He knew about this, but he's screaming about it because it's "illegal.". No, Phil; it's not! If you want to copyright your work, it cost $45 to file with the U.S. Copyright office. Here's the link to back that up. Also, big ups to Sunspot for quoting the roach on saying that he "cannot afford copyright.". $45 is too much, dood! That's one meal of DoorDash, dood!

I find it funny that QuantiumDSP actually has more balls then Vanilla DSP. Phil sits there and delusional keyboard warrior'ing people "stealing" his content Black DSP, while a complete cunt, used DMCA claims to take down videos using his clips. DSP can't even DSP correctly anymore.

Big ups soul mate.

Clipping it from An's re-stream adds to the flavour and charm.
Very ROBUST tale Phil spins indeed.
"And if my wife is at home like she has been recently...uuuh...at day times. Basically it bothers her."
Is she a superhero demon at night or what is going on? Is she working night shifts at public restrooms? Are you saying that no one wants to employ a semi-functional workhorse?

At least the Burnells aren't homeless, yet.

Stop giving him ideas or rather give him other great ideas that will definitely help him advance in his business endeavors to make him retire as early as possible.

He didn't one shot anything in Sekiro the fuck he talking about.
he did sword saint in three tries which is pretty good, but his ego went into overload and he spent like an hour sucking his own dick and saying he did it in less tries than ninja so he's better than him. I watched the TIHYDP and it was fucking cringe.

I got through Malenia on a keyboard and mouse after 2 hours of learning the encounter. Granted I was level 165 but I am not a 14 year content creator nor a lifelong gamer nor one of the best overall gamers in the country, but it's doable when you learn the patterns and game mecanics.

He thought that having 2 million channel views a month meant that he had 2 million viewers and thought that 200 000 a month on patreon was a normal ask. For context of that was him saying "if 10 percent of 2 million gave a dollar a month, I'd never have to worry about youtube". I wouldn't be surprised if he thinks that each view he gets is a unique viewer and not a buch of dents replaying the videos in the vain hope of him getting .001 cents from them.
If so then he is monumentally stupid as analytics give the exact number.

hmmmm
1) doesn't have a booming voice
2) doesn't 'boom through the house'
3) more than likely gets flack from the connected neighbors.

Not sure what the problem is. It's his own fans doing it. They openly talked about it in chat with, I think Kevin, telling Phail he did it.

Reading this popped a question in my head. Maybe it's been answered and I don't remember but does he hold any sort of copyright for his name?
This topic has been brought up a couple of times.

According to the USPTO he used to have two trademarks (DARKSYDEPHIL and DSPGAMING) but they are both dead.

Someone tried to do something on Reddit as others have said, but they were just empty words. This post has the video of that thread archived.

I don't want to be the devil's advocate here but copyright is by default granted to the original creator upon creation of their original work, regardless of whether they choose to register copyright or not.

Granted,Phil should register for the sake of avoiding legal problems and things like DMCA trolls, but ultimately he would almost certainly win in the extremely unlikely event that a coprygiht dispute concerning his original work escalated to court.
