for what it's worth i recognize and follow most of the artists involved in this, if it was not legit i'm sure something would have already come up at some point. the main twitter account associated with it is legit, however, you can literally look at his media tweets.

I was mostly concerned, for my friend, that his payment options are... well... paypal.

paypal is super normal for a lot of artists to use as the main form of payment (even if it sucks balls). but you can more than likely negotiate to use an alternative method if you're worried about safety, or open a temporary business account to hide the name.

I think of past lives/roommates as a spectrum. In the "worst-kept secret" tier you have Kson and DDK. I'd also put Lyrica there if I wanted to make a point that it's not 100% determined by current activity. On the other extreme you have Subaru, then the (sort-of) meme about Reine's family, then Suisei in that order. In between, I might remember names but not everything, and sometimes old info is new to me.

Think there's some more in betweens too, e.g roommate uses PL accounts to vent/shitpost/interact outside of company scope. I guess it mostly depends on how much you care about PL/roommate stuff honestly. Kson in particular I think kind of ended up being a factor in a lot of holo girls being more "you know what I'll use my other shit too" than they were prior. Compared to NijiEN for example where Selen went back to using her merch store (I just got an order I placed prior to her re-debut) and Finana is back to using her PL/IRL account mainly for posting stuff she (assumes) no one will see.

I always felt bad that they squandered the 'vsinger' stuff so badly. Maybe she should talk to Kiara and let out some of that Cover HATE if that's really what it's about. It's always funny to see the talents letting out their frustrations with fans on what is assumedly the company they work for.

My bet is that it is just the same old story of feeling stifled that a lot of Holomem seem to express. Stuff like being denied permission seems to hit a lot of them hard, I'd imagine just the process of having to run all your projects by the Japanese bureaucracy would start to wear on you even if they all got approved.

IRyS has had her nose to the pavement making music since joining Cover. At some point she's has to be feeling the burnout like Ina has/had with her art. Little wonder why she's been upset as of late.

Between throat issues, constant recording of songs that all seem incredibly straining to sing, streaming, Cover clearly fucking up with her costumes, having to do tax stuff, now having insomnia... sounds like she just has way too much BS on her plate.

Seriously though, where the fuck are her new L2D outfits.
