Possible given how hard Russia's pushing in the area with decent effectiveness after their reorganization, but I'd wait for better confirmation. I'm not sure of the source of that map, but it reminds me of some of the wildly and unrealistically optimistic Russian maps early on.

Anyways since things are slow, for the hell of it, here are some Putin caricatures I ran across:

A bit of side news, a Russian DOTA 2 player, Pure, was caught drawing the letter Z on the minimap in a DOTA 2 tournament qualifier match:

View attachment 3232036 View attachment 3232039

The significance of this is that Pure's team, Virtus.Pro, is playing as Outsiders, due to VP being associated with Russian Oligarchs. Their opponent, Mind Games, is a Ukrainian team with 2 Ukranian players on it.

Following that incident, BTS, the tournament's organizer, disqualified Outsiders from the entire tournament.

And here's Pure's statement about the incident. He claimed that it was an accident, which no one is buying because Russians Bad.

What I wonder is if bans like this will be come more common place in DOTA 2. Valve, who tries to be as hands-off about their games as possible, usually only bans players for either cheating (VAC bans), or match-fixing. One notable exception to that is when Kuku got suspended, and his team was disqualified from a tournament, due to racism against Chinese players in a pub game. It's as if some people in the community want Valve to become like the authoritarian game companies like EA, Blizzard, Riot Games, Wizards of the Coast, and Ubisoft, and want players to get banned for things like misgendering a person (even if that said person has something like a Xe/Xi pronoun), or for voting Republicans.
While this was definitely on purpose (he even went back to finish it, and his teammate "tipped" him after he drew it) it's amazing a single letter can cause so much fuss. This is the same game where if only one person calls you a worthless subhuman who should kill yourself in a pub match it's considered a friendly match.

Even if they are encircled it's just a "hit em where they aint" scenario. It works in Naval Warfare, but the realities of ground combat make matters more complicated. The most famous historical example of this is the Battle of Bastogne where the Germans encircled the US 101st infantry division but failed to close the deal.

In this war, Russia has actually encircled Ukrainian brigades numerous times. All of these scenarios were Russians maneuvering into areas where the Ukrainians had no presence. The encirclements have thus far always been broken, largely thanks to Russias inability to keep troops on the back end of the circle supplied.

Damn these Russians make decent music meme videos of this war.

Lavrov has been there for a long time and probably outdone Molotov by now.

Anyways, does anyone know what is "Novarussiya" and some flag that looks like the Russian flag with a black stripe replacing the white striple and a eagle on it,

Novorussiya is the areas that usually vote for more on more Pro-Russian positions thanks to their sizable Russian populations. It was a legit thing at first where those regions tried to become one giant confederacy of breakaway states, but only the ones in Donbass had anything close to success.

Its amazing over how "hands off" generally speaking Valve and Steam have been, in comparison to other companies.

But its inevitable one day to happen though sounds like this tournament was not hosted by Valve but by a third party that didn't want to deal with the negative PR butthurt out of this.

Also has the war slowed down?

It has its own documented wikipedia page at this point.

I wonder when will the "chevron" be banned by certain nations lol when America decides to have another foreign adventure.

Also TIL from some article in A&N, that the M1 Abrams is gigantic compared to the T-90 or T-72.

I wonder if this is the real reason why Nissan is delaying the release of the Nissan Z, instead of their claim that it's due to supply chain issues. And that they are doing that, to make sure that new Nissan Z owners don't get their cars defaced, or even destroyed, by overzealous Ukraine supporters. Although I haven't heard any reports of older model Nissan Zs, i.e. the 350z, getting defaced or destroyed for this reason.

So not sure if this has been posted, but Putin said Luhansk and Donbass have right to be free just like KOSOVO is.
That made Serbia screeching like a mad autistic out of chicken tendies about Russia betraying them AND stabbing them in back!

:story:

Like anyone ever cared about what Serbia thinks.

March 19

The command of the Ukrainian army flooded the village of Demidov in the Kiev region.

The village of Demidov, located north of Kiev, is under threat of flooding.

Due to the undermining by the Ukrainian military of the dam of the Kiev reservoir, the water level on the floodplain of the Irpen River reached its maximum permissible level.

Now the water is approaching the houses of civilians, but no one intends to save them.

April 28

As a result of the explosion in March of the dam between the Irpen River and the Kiev reservoir by Ukrainian troops to slow down the offensive of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, the village of Demidov is now flooded.

I rate this act of degeneracy :story::story::story::story::story: out of 5.
russia has 4 fleets actually, but none of them are anywhere near strong enough to engage the US navy so in practice they aren't very relevant to US supply lines
Mmmmhm, except for subs.

Apparently the Russians unfurled the USSR Victory Banner off the ISS.
Hold on... is... is that the wind in space?
Would they even have enough uniforms and boots to send half a million to Ukraine at the same time?
Aye. Although nobody have told it'll be a top notch freshly sewn uniform. Let alone weapons.

Pretty sure that was said for spit on Western hypocrites. I mean, come on, nobody have asked Serbia if Kosovo want to be with Albania. Why shall anyone ask Ukraine about Donbass then? Same thing, same energy really. Just an opposite side of a coin this time.

The work of the Ukrainian multiple rocket launcher system

The Russian military helped deliver another batch of humanitarian aid to the residents of Kherson.

The pick-up point was deployed right in the center of the city - on Freedom Square. Volunteers helped distribute food packages and basic necessities. In total, about a thousand residents of Kherson received assistance.

The Russian military uses an armored personnel carrier with a sound warning station for psychological influence on the enemy.

"Zorya, you killed all the Muscovites"

Nothing unusual, just a children's party. But there is no Nazism in Ukraine, as they prove to us. And this is just patriotic education.

Kosovo is still not recognized by Russia.
If you were referring to the talks in Moscow, then it was a mocking response to Guterres' statement about actions in accordance with the rules, and Putin replied that if Kosovo is free and recognized, then the Donbass should also be recognized, which of course will not happen.
Full negotiations lasted two hours, but 20 minutes should be enough.

Serbians were always kinda spergys..
anyone with 3 digit iq would read that as just a 'f-you hypocrites' comment towards the west. They are so used to hearing EU/USA/UK leaders yelling that they forget Russia doesn't drink it's own koolaid like the west does. Realpolitik is still alive and well there.

First people came out of Azovstal. Family heard about humanitarian corridor on radio and decided to go for it.

I couldn't find the account myself but it would be interesting anyway to have a look at her posts.
