General Discussion for Virtual Youtubers / Vtubers / Chuubas - it's okay to be a simp for 2D, just don't thirstpost.

Yeah, I'm gonna put Kobo as one of the bes singer in Holo right now. She has that voice that you would have expect from anime theme years ago, around the 2000s to 2015

And you go to threads you don't like to sperg about it. Sounds very faggoty to me.
i made one (1) post calling autists autists and after about a minute 2 people immediately went to defend their hobby of watching their anime waifus scream and moan at a cow in minecraft who's the sperg here lmao

Literally the most obvious bait in the universe. Can you faggots stop responding?

...Who are we talking about?

There was an example in that sporadic conversation from page 5008 onwards that I can't seem to find now that linked to a YouTube channel with very stylised, moody, almost monochromatic thumbnails. There was a limited number of VoDs, too, if that helps, which it probably doesn't. It's not important or anything, I'm not trying to start shit. It was more a comment on audiences being different. Maybe I've confused myself as to what I'm searching for?

I guess the question still stands in general for "gay VTubers": are they authentically gay, building a personal rapport with their gay audience as a performer, or is it more gay-for-pay exaggerated faggotry essentially aimed at pornography-addled straights? The latter approach would step away from VTubing in my entirely insignficant opinion, in common with some of the more hentai focused female performers. It's not a subgenre I have any experience with so far, so I wouldn't want to dismiss it out of hand or mischaracterise it. Male VTubers in general run up against the brick wall of me already having nerdy male friends; I don't need a Freemium Long Distance Relationship Simulator for that sort of online interaction.

I don't think I'd seen that one before! There's another one where she's more ticked off, she's centre screen so it's probably supachattos, and she snaps "stop being faggots!!!" or "stop this faggotry!!!" at the people goofing about kissing each other instead of her. I think it was followed up with "Act like real men!!!" It came vaguely from this era where she occasionally mocked chat's incessant "I love you"s and then of course she'd get comedically pissy when they stopped typing it:

Precisely, if the village idiot in question is just an unironic retard the wise thing to do is still ignoring them. I do get the temptation of calling out this fucker, but it must be resisted lol!

I like how Pippa calls Selen “haha dragon” in her OW2 stream.
I like how she does her own thing and doesn't care about what people think, bar the rare times in which she goes too far and recognizes it, like with the Asuka incident. Shows courage and maturity, nice on Pippa!

I like to feel I can offer some kind of personal perspective on this as a semi-faggot myself.

I think that the same could be said for Yuri-baiting: if you think that men queerbaiting is a 'step away from V-Tubing' but view women doing the same as acceptable and endearing, then I don't think the actual act of queerbaiting is the root cause of your issue, but rather how you perceive the same pattern of behaviour when you aren't the target audience.

Even that bizarre farting girl justifies her existence by virtue of having simps launch money at her. People graduate all the time. People make it big. People appeal to niches and audiences I'll never understand. But I'm not stressed about it because if something isn't for me then it just doesn't exist.

Slightly adjacent to this. The news that Melissa Kinrenka is likely about to announce a graduation does sting, but if the decision furthers her aspirations then I'm all for it. None of this is really all that serious in the grand scheme of things.

Kanae has a Members-only announcement to make on May 3. I'll be away with my Volleyball team around then so I won't be able to keep tabs on stuff as diligently as usual.

@mandatorylurk Got a timestamp for Pippa mentioning Selen?
