RWBY - The Hindenburg on which Rooster Teeth rests its hopes, dreams and future

I think the big thing is that if Volume 10 was absolutely 100% happening... they'd have said as much by now.

Like, if we hear nothing about Volume 10 at RTX there's a very real possibility that the show is dead. And I know people are likely gonna go "But Ice Queendom just got announced," but here's the thing.

Ice Queendom was being worked on internally years ago. Back when Miles and Kerry were jetsetting to Japan and RWBY was in a much better position. Covid just delayed it to now, but there's a real possibility that everything now between the Japanese dub and Ice Queendom is as much a desperation move as it is natural progression of a franchise.

Honestly, knowing how RTX operates, I think we’re going to hear more about V9 before a 10th volume comes into the picture, even if is like last year and it’s some WIP footage to show that RWBY is being worked on despite not having a release date for the premiere.

Now I wait to see if these guys get their product out before V9 drops.
If Volume 9 drops. I'm still confident it won't and I cannot wait to see what happens to FRWBY if it is cancelled. Will they just give up and go home? Will they try to wrap up at Volume 8? Will they forge onward and upward beyond V8 into the realm of actually needing to write the show themselves? Will they then realize what an order of magnitude the difference in difficulty it is between fixing someone else's writing and writing your own stuff from essentially scratch is?

Find out next time. On Autism Ball Z!
