I can tell you about the time I got an original Macintosh to see a SCSI Zip Drive as a hard drive. Only a 2400 baud modem, but it was fast enough to telnet into my MUSH. God, those were fun days.

Agreed. But it was 1998/99. Zip drives were the best we had and could afford. Our CS prof didn’t think we could do it, but somehow we did. We did it to see if we could. Still one of the coolest projects I ever worked on in school.
