Star Trek - Space: The Final Frontier

Literally just looks like another shitty ripoff. What am i missing? They went full circle. They're doing Star Trek 2009 again in TV format.
Sad thing is I miss 2009 trek. Oh sure it was mindless crap compared to the originals, but at least they had some ok writing and action.

The second one is probably the worst in originality and writing, but it had robocop blowing up the Enterprise so I cant be too mad at it.

I see from the trailer that apparently with near infinite power sources they still can't afford enough power for some light bulbs on the bridge or any other part of the ship except sickbay.

I call it Bad New World!

I hate every single character Benedict Cumberbatch has played.

A lot people love him, though.

Who?

oh, let me guess...the mainsteam audience.

Oh I stopped watching Star Trek after Voyager. I barely made it that far.
Facts.

Why should I be sucked in (regardless of my objections) to the mindless sausage factory of nostalgia-driven crap that Bad Robot have been churning out for 20 years now?
Archer had a brand new, never been done before ship. He had to see what it could happen
That his dad was high-ranking certainly didn't hurt. And by the looks of it, his mom skipped breastfeeding and went straight to seed oils instead.

The only reason Starfleet allowed him onboard in the first place was as a competition between nations. Archer tends to embody protectionist, nationalistic, power-projection thinking. The Vulcans observed these tendencies, and so assigned a first officer like T'Pol to counter Earth's military. The worst candidates were picked at every opportunity.
