Fucking wow. I thought he would never do anything to besmirch the name of the court. Also if he's talking about this, nobody is changing their vote. It hurts their credibility too much.

Pretty much, SCOTUS is meant to be more of a non-partisan institution and these rulings and drafts are supposed to be hush hush until the court formally meets and they announce their ruling.

It was likely some faggot clerk for one of the lefty judges, my personal guess is either Sotomayor or Kagan because those two probably have super shitty staff and clerks that wouldn't be above trashing normal tradition for the court.

Roberts is generally big on tradition and this whole thing probably has him completely livid right now, especially in this case for this violating the perceived sanctity of the court.

I don't believe for a second that Roberts is the one to leak it. one of his clerks possibly, but not Roberts himself.

There's no way it's a justice. If it is a justice, it's hidden by handing it to a clerk first anyway.

I'm hearing there was a minor leak in the 70's that got some people some money on the stock market, but nothing political like this.

Would you concede the possibility that a lightning-fast reaction to the leak is still possible evidence of the usual gang of idiots being pre-primed and ready to go?
I can’t speak for anyone else but I’m a little stunned by how quickly the militants have started the shitshow. This is ‘unjustifiable police shooting of unarmed black man recorded on 18 obamaphones in a black area with 90% unemployment’ level of speedy response.

Considering my entire premise was everything being pre-primed, and the only reason it looks kinda like an op is that speed... yes, I'd concede it because it is my point.

There have been signals from SCOTUS on how they'd rule ever since oral arguments began. They have been prepping this backlash for a while. The early leak was likely an ideological member tuned in to the mood of their side who decided ideology was more important than their career.

I wish. But I doubt Justice Brown here has access to the SCOTUS internal systems yet.

Gonna laugh if the leak pisses Roberts off enough that he tells the liberal justices to clean their shit up or he votes hard right for the next election cycle.
