I think it's a combo of them wanting to justify their activism to themselves and to recruit others.
Being a victim of bigotry to the extent that you could be killed makes them feel like an important hero like in Star Wars or Marvel movies. It lets them also do whatever they want to their enemies without thinking of their enemies' humanity, Moviebob style.
It also lets them recruit people easier. "The Republicans are trying to make it so kids who believe they're trans can't get medication, leading to potential child depression and suicides that could have been prevented if they were allowed to transition" isn't as urgent as "the Republicans are literally murdering trans kids!". The latter will make more people join you, as despite it being hysterical and not truthful, it's a larger and more urgent problem.

It's just amazing, probably my favorite little bit of drama from yesterday. My favorite part was when one of keffals fans would chastise chads like Mohammad for "having an opinion about something that doesn't personally involve them" and there would be genuine confusion over whether they were talking about Lucas or not.

Splatoon is genuinely fucking fun, one of the few reasons to even own a Wii-U when the first one released. Stealth-roller set up was a blast.
That being said though, anyone above the age of 18 who actively engages in the fandom of a game aimed at children needs an eye kept on them. If they're 18+ and bringing LGBTQ shit into the fandom of a children's game, they should be investigated, period. There's is not a single instance of a trannyfag being involved in a children's fandom that didn't result in diddling or grooming.

As soon as I seen there were 7 pages I hadn't read I knew Lucas did something to fuck up and oh boy could he have not chosen a worse target than real women's rights.
