I care more about having people in office who are fighting for me and not being blackmailed than I do about "owning the dems". I know it's a forlorn hope either way but I still draw the line at supporting faggots. I'm sick and tired of the GOP trying to gaslight me into believing "you always supported gay and trans! look, gay and trans for Trump!"
I never tried to talk you out of it. What I said was have your cake and eat it too. You don’t have to attach your name to calling democrats hypocrite homophobes. Hoist them on their own petard, the opportunity is right fucking there.

The repelling of Roe vs wade will bring about unreconcible divisions amongst all Americans. This will be used by the left and the right. A New abolitionist vs states rights rallying cry. The strife and turmoil of the Civil rights forced diversity and subsequent Racewar will pale to long term and short term damage to social cohesion. This of course comes at the eve of a great culling. War and famine and and slavery

So I say to all kiwis 🥝 its been a blast

Siri, remind me to get popcorn the next time I'm at the store.

Christ, the mask is off.

"Despite getting court injunctions for everything from sneezing to yawning when it came to Trump, OUR policies are above the law."

Fucking Biden as Judge Dredd.

"I Am The... you know... the thing."
so there are areas where the courts aren't allowed to make rulings called nonjusticiable questions. usually it's stuff related to how another branch functions or emergency situations where disunity among the branches harms the national interest. Sufficed to say its a pretty high standard that's rarely invoked, and this situation certainly ain't it.

If anything, the repealing of Roe v. Wade sets the ground for the reconciliation for both sides. It removes from the field one of the rally cries of the Uniparty, one of the key things they needed to maintain the stagnation from which the internal division rot sprung from. The more that are removed, the more the gradual ebb and flow fo politics can be re-established and the more those divisions will slowly heal over time rather than becoming further entrenched.

Someone Photoshop Donald Trump with Goku's Ultra Instinct hair

In a sane world that would be true, but we live in Insano Land where the left fundamentally can not just let the right have states that have laws that go against their cult. Look at the utter insanity over the Florida Law.

Fuck it sometimes you have burn a forest to grow a field of new crops
legit, local talk host a week or so was talking about the idea of "maybe we flip the script and make our own Great Reset, like those big forest fires, by the end the sprouts of the next are already popping up"

Where hell have you been for the last two years?
America had a year long race war with Billions in damages nationwide. Over our boy Floyd. Americans are not willing to resolve nor reconcile there differences

All symptoms of the stagnation. Nothing is ever resolved, those in charge ensure that a handful of issues are fought over eternally leading to deeper and deeper entrenchment of divisions because there can be no movement on the problems.

Abortion is one of those, but beyond that Roe has been used as a cudgel to ensure the African community cannot possibly pull itself out of the hole it is in.

But the key point is that this state of things is and has been artificial. An enforced stagnation. While it would not be in any way clean or quick, things like this finally allow the stagnation to come to an end and for reconciliation to slowly begin.

Again only if that where the solidarity issue and there wasn't political influence fanning the flames

oh okay
spastic libs have been threatening to nuke the usa for a hot minute
can't make an aborted fetus omelette without "scrambling some eggs"
besides you can probably handwave atomic fire to count for moloch

"Solidarity issue"? Did you man solitary?

And the political influence fanning the flames only really works if things are stagnated. Rabble rousing requires a standing grievance from which there can be no compromise. By removing Roe, it opens up the door to a compromise amongst the majority of the populace. While there always has been and always will be hardline forces one ether side, they lose their teeth once Roe is gone. Leaving the roughly half of America who has a much less hardline stance to hash out the compromise.

So unless you think, against all evidence, that its literally half of Americas are on either hardline stance, then that flamer fanning is going to lose a lot of power with the death of Roe.

I want to go back to calling abortion activists sluts too stupid to use the morning after pill.

To expand, Roe was the worst possible thing for this issue. And its why Ruther Bader Ginsburg, who at the time was the lawyer for the side that won, famously despised the decision.

Far from settling the issue, Roe actively enflamed it. Those who disliked abortion were silenced by force and could point to the decision as a legitimate and massive grievance. Those who supported abortion suddenly had no reason at all to reign in their desires and so pressed the issue harder and harder until even the general populace began breaking from them. And because it was a legal case, there was no recourse possible. It stagnated.

So what does repealing Roe do? it slaps it back to the states, removes that enforced stagnation, and does two important things for the opposing sides. For the opponents, it removes the legitimate grievance and allows them control within their own state to set policy. For the supporters, it strips them of the ability to go hog wild outside their own states and ensures they need to keep an ear to the general populace.

And finally, as a third thing, it absolutely devastates its use on a federal level. No longer can it really be used because now the President has very little say in abortion rights. With each state controlling it the power is dispersed and the ability to politically used it weakened by a factor of 50.
