I don't really see a problem with what she said? The male equivalent of FGM would be removing the entire head of the penis, not just the foreskin. Some Muslims actually do that form of radical MGM. I understand the objections people have to infant circumcision but it seems hysterical to call it "male genital mutilation" when it's done in a medical setting and only the foreskin is removed.
I don't see how FGM is "designed to increase male pleasure" though. Unless the guy is a sadist and finds it hot her clit was gouged out.

FGM covers a fairly wide set of practices that range from ceremonial cuts to the clitoris to cutting everything that can be cut off off and sewing the rest shut. There’s some pretty comprehensive categorization of the types, clitoral hood removal, type Ia is probably the closest approximation to typical male procedures, but you’re right that it’s usually accompanied by type Ib which includes removal of some or all of the clitoris. Type II involves removing parts of the labia, Type III is sewing things shut or tighter. Type IV includes a lot of various different miscellaneous procedures that vary wildly in severity from small symbolic nicks to burning or introducing chemicals.
