George Alexopoulos / Gprime85 / Studio NJ - The Right wing Lovechild of Ben Garrison and Andrew Dobson

Hey, thanks for reminding me about George! I forgot about him after I stopped browsing Twitter on the semi-regular. I still need to look into his history with Comicsgate.

The point of that part in the OP is that George went into histrionics after people on Reddit found those old anti-muslim/gay self-insert comics and melted down through three comics and a self-aggrandizing pity party Twitter thread, all over people making mean comments about him and his political opinions on the internet. One of the biggest things that make George a cow is his fragile ego, and this was a really great display of it.

What PM chain did you come from?
Too long, didn't get that far.
Its really a stretch to call those comics anti-muslim or anti-gay. Sounds like you might belong on reddit.

I was going to finish the OP since you told me there was a point somewhere, but holy shit, that thing is huge and my internet is slow, so loading the screenshots is a pain in the ass. Seems he's a clout chaser who overreacted at reddit, and that's me taking you at your word for a lot of it. If he was making a living off comics at the time, overreacting to getting canceled is warranted, but idk.

The hyperbole used in your captions is really something else.
"Spoiler: "trump is literally god" comics" - Literally just Trump punching Coronavirus, Biden sleeping during a debate, some copium on the electoral college, and a dramatization of the GOP throwing Trump under the bus.

Serious, middle of the road republican shit. Calm your hate boner. You're just mad he's a successful artist and disagrees with you.

The art is decent.
It's a shame that he's known for making twitter political comics, but I guess he became that because he couldn't make a career out of not doing it.
It's a bit cyclical, innit? Him not being able to get consistent employment for art leading to him choosing to do political comics that end up lowering the range of his opportunities, which then might bring you back to the first point.

I guess he got to do that one fake kid's book.
As long as he feels satisfied, I guess it doesn't matter.

Is it cynical? Artists all have big egos and hate working like a normal person, but art isn’t any different from any other commodity. Get a job, hippy.

The fact he’s a conservatard makes him look even more pathetic.

Cyclical as in his actions looping, like a cycle. There's probably a better word to use but I can't think of it.

Probably the other reason why I dislike his comic besides drawing like as if he has a dildo coated in adrenaline shoved up his ass is that his format is too repetitive.
Panel 1: Liberal strawman says something conservatives seethes over
Panel 2: Designated conservative hero does something
Panel 3: Liberal strawman prepares to explode
Panel 4: Liberal strawman explodes

Stonetoss, as much as I strongly disagree with his political beliefs, is able to creatively lead to a punchline that I admit is poignant yet funny.

It's almost as if this thread is mostly politispergs mad at cartoons. You totally ignore the personality of the guy, don't listen to interviews etc. Comicsgate basically scarred this guy for life just by calling him Pussynopolis. Think about that.

Anyway here is more material from before Tim Pool took his career out of the slums of the interwebs. An interview with Vikkiverse and Da Talks who also have a thread here, and one with Nasser Rabadi.

Stonetoss is funny and makes a lot of people angry. George’s comics are frequently shared among conservative circles as an ‘own’ but it’s preaching to the choir. The liberals in this thread aren’t even seething about the comics. They just kind of go ‘Meh, this is just alt-right masturbation. Nothing to see here folks’. Spergs like @Neil do not represent the majority.

As a Republican, the dude would be better off actually contributing to the economy. Starbucks is hiring.

Do you think this fag would be able to handle making a soy latte without a complete and utter breakdown?

Of course not. He smells like the type of faggot who thinks he knows everything and can’t stand the idea of being told what to do.

His first commission probably went down like this:
Patron: ‘It’s not what I expected.’
George: ‘It’s what you need.’

I know this is old but…

While I admit some of George’s comics are good, I simply can not stand his personality. The constant self aggrandizing, the feeling of deserving accolades and praise…it’s really insufferable. My main issues outside of the entitlement and imaginary persecution?

1.) Many of his comics make no sense if you look at them linearly. For example, in one comic he may draw a cute, capable woman who, despite her best efforts, is pushed to the wayside by trans men who wrongfully take her place. Then in the next comic he’s drawing the ‘S.S. Clambake’ hitting a ‘wall’ pandering to the incel mindset. I don’t get it.

2.) I’m pretty sure his fetish is clumsy thicc dumb girls and mustachioed muscular men in uniform who take advantage of them. It makes me feel gross.

3.) You went to Japan once George. You took a Gaijin manga course, you are not Japanese. Drop the weeb shit. It’s not impressive to anyone but yourself.

4.) Lastly the over exaggerated expressions are really starting to get ugly. Take notes from stone toss, subtle emotes can speak volumes.

Look, ain’t nothing wrong with a man in uniform.
It makes me feel gross for a reason…

We’re a culture, not a costume. What George draws is not me. And this is NOT ok.

I don't think the point George is making the point he thinks he's making here. Jobs generally do provide health benefits to their employees. Trying to frame that as some dirty, underhanded, uncaring cynical corporate move is ridiculous. Starbucks offers dental coverage for their employees, too. Fixing their cavities and making sure their teeth are straight? How insidious!

He (and other conservatives) want to make the point that they're offering abortion coverage so they don't have to eventually pay maternity leave. I don't see the problem, it benefits both the woman and the company, and it's not a compulsory abortion, the woman choses it. I doubt any of them are going to be working at Starbucks for 18 years either.

Also, classy.
