Thinking more about this newly made "Ministry of Truth" has led me coming to disturbing revelation. You know how gun control advocates always bring up that the Founding Fathers never imagined automatic weapons when they wrote the 2nd Amendment? A common retort to that is, "Well the Founding Fathers never imagined television and the Internet when writing the 1st Amendment." It seems the purpose of the DGB (yes, that's is actually abbreviation for it) will be to restrict the 1st the same way the 2nd has been over the decades. The same way these people say, "Nobody needs *insert type of gun/x number of ammunition*" will soon be saying, "Not everyone has the right to say/post whatever they want," and unironically say, "When Freedom of Speech and Freedom of the Press was written, the Founders did not imagine mass communication or how fast disinformation could spread."
Which is the patently retarded way to look at the Bill of Rights. The whole point of those amendments was to make it clear the federal government couldn't cross certain thresholds. Simply put, even if the 2nd amendment literally didn't exist, the federal government would have no arbitrary power (short of disarming rebels and traitors) to disarm the populace because that isn't among it's enumerated powers. The Founding Father's imagination or lack thereof doesn't matter.
They already managed to twist "freedom of the press" from protection of free access to technology for dissemination of ideas, into a protection for a self-defined journalist class.

The founders were on the cusp of the age of the Gatling gun amongst other things. Automatic firearms were in the raw idea and barely-not-exploding prototype stages at that point. Remember that the Civil War may as well have been a fight between sorcerers with the tech being used at the time.

They need to bring back stop and frisk. Everyone only ever talks about how racist it was, yet no one ever talks about how many criminals it took off the street. Perhaps we could some apply common sense and arrest anyone with bear bangers or paint balloons in their pockets in the middle of the city.

The extent to which we tolerate petty crime in this country is absurd; forget "mental health services", I would gladly pay more in tax if it meant shoving these people in a cell for a year or two to learn their lesson.

Or perhaps we should adopt the Israeli method of dealing with "protestors": you throw rocks you get shot with rubber bullets. You throw explosive devices, you get shot with regular bullets. I'd rather live in a police state than this faggot-run dystopia.

It wasn’t racist until Democrat mayors took over from the Republican ones in big cities. Then arbitrary bullshit was tacked on solely to drive up tensions over stop and frisk to make it unpopular. Cops like eating food so they had to comply. Reminder that Giuliani wasn’t blasted for stop and frisk, he was celebrated for stopping crime.

I recall jokes about Rudolph Mussolini and Daily Show doing a bit about how Rudy's forces were advancing on Times Square "here, here, here, and here" and then it was NFL light pen tech swastika

The repelling of Roe vs wade will bring about unreconcible divisions amongst all Americans. This will be used by the left and the right. A New abolitionist vs states rights rallying cry. The strife and turmoil of the Civil rights forced diversity and subsequent Racewar will pale to long term and short term damage to social cohesion. This of course comes at the eve of a great culling. War and famine and and slavery

So I say to all kiwis 🥝 its been a blast

I really don't think abortion going to the states will really cause that much damage socially. Give it a few days after the ruling, assuming they stick with the votes from the draft, and people will realize what "going to the states" actually fucking means, hopefully.

"Trump is Hitler" is now a tired cliche, how about "Biden is Hitler"?
Every dictatorship throughout history established a propaganda arm which they have typically called variations of the “Ministry of Truth.” The Russian USSR established Pravda, which simply means “TRUTH.” When insurance companies could not sell death insurance, they called it life insurance and everyone bought it. The Biden Administration has now formally joined the ranks of such dictatorships throughout history with their creation of the so-called “Disinformation Governance Board.”

This is a typical attack on free speech. Hitler created the very same type of ministry formally called Reich Ministry for Public Enlightenment. It was responsible for controlling the content of the press, literature, visual arts, film, theater, music, and radio in Nazi Germany. Today, we call it “cancel culture.”
Btw, the guys of the Babylon Bee have some little fun with Hunter.

WASHINGTON, D.C.—The Department of Homeland Security has formed the Disinformation Governance Board to bravely combat incorrect opinions on the internet. According to sources, the board's Executive Director Nina Jankowicz has appointed Hunter Biden to sit on the board for a salary of $50,000 per month.

"We are proud to welcome Hunter to our Ministry of Tr-- um, our Disinformation Governance Board," said Jankowicz. "As the victim of a Russian disinformation campaign that claimed his laptop held evidence of horrific sexual crimes and international corruption resulting in tens of millions of dollars being funneled to the Biden family, he is uniquely equipped to speak to these issues."

The President's son will be paid a salary of $50,000 per month. His appointment has caused several prominent conservatives to cry foul, claiming the deal and the entire board itself seem "gross", "creepy", and "corrupt."

The Disinformation Governance Board dismissed the criticism as "dangerous disinformation."

Reminds me of how it seems like all of the lethal injection methods seem created specifically to run afoul of "cruel and unusual punishment" protections?

The obvious solution is to return to the death penalty methods in use at the time of the signing, hanging and firing squads. They can't possibly be 'cruel and unusual' because they weren't considered as such then. Plus they are still more reliable and dignified than anything else we have available today.

Well, maybe except inert gas asphyxiation, but still.

Hell, if anything modern technology would make hanging even less cruel and unusual. It'd not be hard to program a big x-ray scanner box that records your weight, height, neck girth and length, as well as spine girth and length and then compute the exact perfect length of rope.

Does anyone USE inert gas asphyxiation? Flooding a room with nitrogen is cheap and easy, you just pass out and die. The 3 drug cocktails are clearly designed to fuck up.

Its a shame I hate pedos so much but on the other hand should we trust the state to have the power to execute people?
Yeah, I'm not a fan of the death penalty mostly because I don't trust the government to not fuck it up.

Y'know how libs love that "rights are not unlimited" line to justify gun grabs and censorship? I'd love to argue that in favor of cruel and unusual punishments, just to see how they react.

Edit: I'd also argue that tarring and feathering, swirlies, wedgies, and the stocks are neither cruel nor unusual.

True enough, the old drop tables are pretty accurate as they are but adding in our medical imaging and material science would make hanging a precise event.

I think it has been proposed but never done, despite the fact that it ticks all the modern cuck boxes of being 'clinical' and 'clean'. Weird because the government spent the last few decades trying to execute people without feeling icky about it, and its just made things worse. They want to pretend that lethal injections or the electric chair are more 'civilized' or 'humane' than older methods but they aren't - all are prone to failure and even when they do work they just torture the prisoner to death. The only advantage to them is that they offer a veneer of progress, and a sense of emotional distance for the executioner so they can pretend they aren't taking a human life. Inert gas would give all they benefits they claim to want, but no state has made the jump to it yet.

Personally I like firing squads, they have a sense of masculine dignity for the condemned and the state.
