Part of me kind of worried about the May parade because either a false flag or an actual op using NATO equipment will cause things to get extremely worse. Say a US made switchblade strikes the podium where all the top brass are, what will Russia respond with?

Without Russian involvement the armed conflict in Donbass would've been over in a matter of months. Even considering the shambolic state of the Ukrie army in 2014, there's no way the separatists would've been able to hold out for long without outside assistance. Now, it's certainly debatable whether a swift Ukrainian victory would've been a 'good' outcome - simply defeating armed resistance wouldn't have resolved the underlying ethnic tension. But unless you believe they were going to gas all the Russians in the region, it's hard to imagine it being worse than 8 years of intermittent warfare. At least there's some chance they would've moved towards reconciliation by now...

But enough about NATO's activities in Ukraine since, approximately, 1991.
Their air defense is (was?) composed of S-300s and MiGs, their infantry rifles are 7.62 AKs and their combat vehicles are upgraded Soviet stuff.
The fact that they didn't have NATO compatible stuff is precisely why they're struggling as it takes months to train crews on new equipment.

He also said that he does not expect a Ukrainian counteroffensive until mid-June.
I remember when the Counteroffensive was going to happen in April, two more weeks.
By June the Ukrops won't have an intact rail junction or oil depot in the country.
Ukrops also won't have much of a population left because as of yesterday 5,707,967 Refugees have fled Ukraine from February 24th and onwards.

next level vatnik delusion lmao
they invaded and straight up annexed part of ukraine in 2014, and have been propping up armed insurgents in another part for 8 years straight
This didn’t start in 2014. It started when the Wall fell and the USA promised that NATO would not expand.

Then, like a crossroads demon, the USA reneged on its promise saying the promise was made to the USSR, not to Russia.

Russia tried to join NATO and the EU and was BTFOd each time, so they finally said fuck it when NATO started its unholy expansion.

This was entirely provoked by NATO, driven by the liberal world order.

This is the worst refugee crisis in Europe since WW2, and nobody seems to give much of a shit about stopping it :stress:
It's only going to get worse, The refugee crisis and war related deaths are practically going to end the Ukranian Nation by 2050. I would wager by the 20th of May that the Ukranian Diaspora will be doubled, form 6.1M to 12.2M on account of the refugees.

there are enough true believer generals in the Russian military.. you can bet nuclear hellfire for all would be the forecast. That being said won't happen,
1. nato's volksstrum wunderweapons have proven overrated.
2. May parades are if anything under more cavity search security than USA presidential inaugurations.

Why do Western faggots assume getting rid of Putin means they'd like his successor

At least in the Mykolaiv region for sure

In the Mykolaiv region, temporarily refused plans for the restoration of railway infrastructure.
This was announced in an interview with Ukrinform by the chairman of the Mykolaiv region, Vitaliy Kim.
He explained the decision by saying that it is a meaningless occupation because of the constant shelling. "The enemy is now hitting the railway infrastructure. Therefore, we will not restore the railway connection, so as not to provoke it, "the chairman of the said.

What I find interesting is that the anti-Russia Ukroswine apologist WWIII simp contingent keeps pushing a variation on the theme of how Russia shouldn't have cared about NATO expansion because of how fast nukes can move; conveniently they ignore the counter-argument to that, simply that if nukes are so fast, why does NATO have to keep expanding up to the point that Russia is entirely surrounded by them?

"Defensive alliance"? No, frens...

BuT NaTo MeMbErShIp Is VoLuNtArY.
For everyone except Russia, duh.

By the way, the Greatest Ally reports that Putin called Israel Premier minister Naftali Bennett and apologized for what Lavrov had said about Hitler having jew blood.
During a phone call with the Russian leader, Bennett accepted Putin’s apology and thanked him for “clarifying” Russia’s attitude toward the Jewish people and the Holocaust, the Israeli government said in a statement.

A readout of the meeting from the Kremlin does not mention an apology from Putin, but says Russia recognized the significance of Isreeli Independence Day, which the country celebrated on Wednesday and Thursday, and noted that 40% of the 6 million Jews killed in the Holocaust were citizens of the USSR.

The phone call comes after several Israeli politicians, including Bennett and Israeli Foreign Minister Yair Lapid, slammed Lavrov after he told an Italian TV show Sunday that some of the “worst anti-Semites are Jews” in an attempt to justify Russia’s claims it is trying to de-Nazify Ukraine, a country with a Jewish president.

In a response, the Russian Foreign Ministry on Tuesday accused Lapid of supporting the “neo-Nazi regime in Kyiv.”

Can't dl the vid.

— It's bad that Russia came to us with war. Didn't think they would bomb us like that.

— But hey, you are a celebrity now.
— It would be better to not be a celebrity and to not have a war. It would be better to not be a celebrity and to not have a war.(She says that twice, yes. Fumbled a bit on the first try.)

— I came to congratulate the Russians, to tell them not to bomb anymore, to solve issues in a peaceful way.

— ...they are traitors, then.
— But they didn't kill you, did they?
— They are killing people though.
(this last bit is very muffled)

Defence industry in the USA is generally my guess as to the biggest culprit.

They want to be churning out the cheap higher margin stuff, DC politicians want that lobby cash, and the top brass wants comfy 'advisor' pensions at Lockheed or whatever other rotten outfit. This proxy war is exactly what they want, medias constantly crying about how the USA and Western Europe are depleting their stocks to nothing, which i don't remotely believe for the usa.... even if it is plausible for the complacent tripwire militaries of central europe.

So how is Russias donbass military offensive going?

Watching the progress of where fighting has occurred, Russia definitely attempted a hard push at Kyivi Ri (or however the fuck you spell it), Zhaporizhia, and Sloviansk.

The Zhaporizhia and Sloviansk offensives seemed to be the big push, because Russia gave up a ton of ground around Kharkiv to make it happen. The goal clearly was to surround the dug in UAF forces along the Line of Actual Control with the DPR. But only the push from the North seems to have met any success, capturing Izium. All other offensives have fallen flat, which has left the forces in Izium in a Salient that could be encircled in turn if they push further south.

This is probably why they are pounding the shit out of Azovstahl now. Having to dedicate so many troops to laying siege to it is seriously hampering the southern offensive, which is making it impossible to complete the encirclement.
