Target has teamed up with LGBT+ brands and artists for its Pride Month 2022 collection.

Target has teamed up with LGBT+ brands and artists for its Pride 2022 collection.
The department store has dropped a huge collection which celebrates and highlights the community for Pride Month.
The main Pride range, as well as two exclusive collaborations with queer-owned brands, has been released in store and online

For this year’s pride month, Target has teamed up with TomboyX and Humankind on two limited collections.
They say the “two beloved queer, female-founded brands stand for inclusivity in every way”.

TomboyX, which was founded by Fran Dunaway and Naomi Gonzalez, makes underwear and activewear that any body can feel comfortable in regardless of your size or gender.

The 15-piece limited edition range features packing underwear, compression tops, bras, boxers, briefs and boy shorts.
There’s a number of prints available including rainbow, Pride flag colours and neutral colours if you’d prefer something more subtle.

Humankind was founded by Haily Marzullo and focuses on swimwear that’s minimal and inclusive of every gender.

The 11-piece collection with Target features swim trunks, swim tops, tank tops and unisuits, which are all available in extended sizes and a number of different styles.

This includes subtle rainbow stripes, colourblock and rainbow sprinkles.

The wider Target Pride 2022 collection is “community created” and sees the store team up with LGBT+ artists.

This includes Alice Butts, Jermel “Blu” Moody, Robin Lewallen, Jay Miller, Olly Gibbs and Bird & Marc.

Each artist has created t-shirts, prints, homeware, pet accessories, tote bags and more featuring their unique designs.

There’s more than 190 products to shop, including t-shirts embellished with “Move I’m Gay”, “Queer”, “Black & Proud”, “You Me & We”, pronouns, rainbows and various Pride flag designs.

Target has also confirmed a continued partnership with GLSEN, who create affirming, accessible and anti-racist spaces for LGBT+ students.

Target says they’re “proud of 10 plus years of collaboration with GLSEN and continue to support their mission”.

Twitter reacts to Target’s Pride collections

The response to Target’s Pride 2022 collection has been mixed, with one Twitter user saying: “It’s still cool to see these things being sold at a mainstream store for a fairly affordable price”.

But they also add that it should be offered throughout the year and “not just for pride”.

Another said it was “awesome” but that it was “too bad” that they’ve not included tucking underwear in the range.

While others called the store chain “performative” for not selling the products all-year round.

I like how the fat black guys "pride wear" isn't even a fucking rainbow flag vomit but literally just 2 toned boxer shorts lmao. How the fuck is that "pride" it looks like basic everyday wacky funny underwear that maybe two face from would wear for his whole 2 theme.
Seriously, they couldn't wait till june for this shit because they couldnt distract from the paycut if they didn't roll this out early.
EDIT: also the nerdy black one on the left in one image in't even wearing a rainbow flag shit it's just black shirt and shorts. Lazy ass pride month, lazier than usual.
There's a rainbow cameo in the corner. Think that's the top of a backpack.

Because nothing says "PRIDE" like out of shape gender blobs. What happened to gay dudes being fucking jacked and caring about their appearance?

Because this whole thing is driven by hetero hamplanets who just pretend to be LGBTetc for attention like it's a literal fashion trend?

Target has also been trying to position itself as Libtard Walmart for a while. If you go inside and look at the people shopping there, it's obvious, but I personally view it as a dying brand. I think they couldn't even hack it in Canada and closed all their stores there. They didn't fuck up as badly as K-Mart though.

Yeah I noticed which make sit weird how the thing supposedly being sold isn't even in frame for the stock image.
The two face boxer briefs have fucking no excuse though.

Target is from Minneapolis, so of course they would do this. One of the more insufferably woke companies these days.

Target has slowly been going out of business since the trans bathroom controversy.

I know Target's woke politics is annoying, but this simply isn't true. Their revenue and net income was up last year. They have almost 2,000 stores and are one of the biggest companies in the US. Most of the people who don't like Target's policies never shopped there to begin with. Outside of stupid things like this, they're actually a really well-managed company that does most things right--from a business perspective.

Prior to the tranny boom, I associated chest binding with costumes. Women cosplaying as male characters sometimes bind their chest. Drag kings also do this. The idea of binding your chest outside of costumes is baffling to me.
Thanks to the Chyna Virus I haven’t been able to get a much needed skin surgery so I’m rocking one when I wear a suit. Deflated basketball a very bad look in Ralph Lauren Purple Label. Don’t ever whale out kids! Thanks to the tranny boom plenty of decent options out there for the former linebacker set.

Because Target isn't Woke enough.

I only shop there because the Wal-Mart is an intolerable dirty shithole, but if you've never been to Target recently it's insane, it's like stepping into Tumblr as a physical place, some of what you see is genuinely nauseating, like most recently they now openly sell sex toys where kids might see them, why is exposing children to inappropriate sexual material part of "Woke" now?

It was already Woke BEFORE the Floyd riots but it's only gotten Woker and Woker these last 2 years.

It's still a very clean, well run store, but there's so much creepy propaganda now, it makes the post 9/11 vibe of mid 2000s Wal-Mart look like nothing, welcome to the real 1984 shopping experience.

Also, the clothes are ugly and the models are ugly, I hate the way modern culture celebrates ugliness, take me back to 2009 when every model was a beautiful person.

That's part of what's so depressing nowadays. You can't have attractive models or apolitical things anymore; everything has to be insufferably woke and ugly. Diversity, Inclusion, Equity and the "everything is political" mindset ruined everything.

My local Grocery Outlet will have tons of the Pride-labeled cosmetics in the store by July/August, and if it's anything like the past years, it will sit unsold until the store tosses it.
I kinda love that shit. Not for pride but I want bright colors and I don't want pay much for them. My everyday make up is a one thing. I don't mind putting extra bucks to get the good stuff in exact shades and consistency I want when I have deal with them most days. Funky colors I use few times year for party make up so I really don't want pay much for that privilege even if I find it really fun. So I buy seasonal or limited edition stuff when it goes sale, Christmas, Pride, Halloween, Disney or whatever. As long as it's fun, cheap and close enough what I'm looking for, I don't care about slapped on slogans.

Just out of curiosity how is situated? I live in a country without Traget so I don't know exactly how stuff is sorted and presented there. I have some experience with sex toys on basic grocery stores because some local ones had them but I didn't find too instructive. They were basic models and there were like three choices. They were next to condoms and period products so unlikely place parents would take kids by accident anyway.

They got hit hard by supply chain shit because most of the utter garbage they sell comes from China or gets passed between three different shitholes before being shipped over by slow boat. But I don't think they are actually going out of business. Just looks very bleak and stripped down these days.

If you ever go on their website to try to find a clothing item you'll see they have utterly fucked their search engine by making everything "gender neutral." So let's say you need a black t-shirt in size men's large. Used to be very straightforward to find that. Now they lump most of the plain black tees into "adult general sizing" which I admit, I got annoyed enough at that point I didn't even try to work out what the sizing scheme is, is it the same as men's? Same as women's? some middle ground? Who knows.

Last year during pride is when they started that, I think, so they could sell skirts to men using ugly blobby male models.

Lmao, why is all of the "activewear" today only modeled by ham planets that look like they have never and will never work out a day in their lives?
“Activewear” is now a fashion statement. I’m not kidding, they’re making activewear that’s shit for working out in solely so you can have “The look.”

It’s the most “Murrican” thing ever.

Quick power level; i've worked for Target recently. They do this leftist-catering shit all the time. The only difference here is the Tomboy brand.

There was some in-fighting on the Target subreddit some while ago about Target's excessive love for the LGBT community. Reddit users as usual were majority in support of Target. It started with a thread where a female employee reported harassment towards multiple female coworkers by a male employee, which was disregarded by management and the subreddit. At the same time, a tranny employee made a thread exclaiming how happy he was to get a male employee fired after being deadnamed. Redditors were congratulating the tranny. This drew the ire of presumably heterosexual users and caused a bit of an exodus to a hidden subreddit of which I never figured out the name. At this point, the subreddit had a schism and became less funny. Some coworkers of mine got upset about not having funny memes anymore.

IIRC Target’s parent company also owns Goodwill and uses them to dump their unsold shit, so if Target’s everyday low prices on an ugly shirt that says “Queer” is too rich for your blood just wait for your local Goodwill to stock them for a fraction of the cost.

It’s like when your dad would rush to the store on December 26th to get “A great deal” on Christmas lights and decorations because he sees Clark Griswold’s house as an aspirational goal.
To be honest, not really. Target uses Marshalls, TJMaxx, etc to dump returned, unsold, or otherwise sellable goods. It could just depend on your area, though. Liquidation from Walmart does make it's way into Dollar Trees for my area.

Target has slowly been going out of business since the trans bathroom controversy.
Target just completed a worldwide modernization project to remodel all of their stores and shifted pay from $12/hr to $15/hr. They gave every employee little bonuses during height of covid pandemic in 2020. This company is making bank. They should be paying more, of course, but Target is absolutely not going out of business anytime soon.

Target only sells two or three sex toys and they're always next to the condoms, pregnancy tests, and lubricant in the pharmacy area. Most people aren't even aware there vibrators sold there, including employees. If you're worried about children seeing them then just avoid the contraceptives shelf?
