He also misses the point of the quote itself and thinks it's an epic own that it isn't. It doesn't really say anything about the core values of religion. The limited point it actually does prove is there are good reasons to doubt the specific mythos of any particular religion is literally true. It does not prove "lmao all religion is stupid and dumb."

It does reasonably raise the comparison of objective truth to subjective experience as an epistemological issue. This does not go far to establish the truth or falsity of something that at least an agnostic would say is unknowable. All this really means is that if I perform a scientific experiment while being a Muslim (or whatever), and you do while being a Christian (or whatever), so long as we do the same things, we will get the same results.

This doesn't apply to religion and shouldn't because that's not even what religion is about!

Unfortunately almost nobody actually understood it and think that cyberpunk meant eternal existence as Hot Topic refugees with artificially colored hair, rather than understanding it as the bitter rants of technophobic dudes like William Gibson who wrote Neuromancer on a Hermes manual portable typewriter from the fucking 20s.

I do not understand how you get to a place in life where you think this level of thought is worth posting to a public forum next to your name and face.
