You're not completely wrong. RT does mention RvB as a big staple of Internet lore in Machinima. Not sure about AH, but RWBY's thing when the trailers was, "Hey, you know that awesome 3D fight animator? Well, he's making a 3D anime that doesn't suck!" And Death Battle is just "Remember Deadliest Warrior? We're taking that same approach to fictional characters!"
Its funny, I can't even go back and watch any old Red vs Blue episode with getting bored. But I can watch all of the seasons of Arby and the Chief again
Not sure about Arby, but from what I've heard, RvB really wanted to push the envelope with what they could do, mainly in terms of story and action. Especially once Monty came around.

I've never been more disapointed from anyone on Kiwifarms.
At this point Roosterteeth uses Podcasts to fund their video production. Podcasts are cheap and easy to produce, and RT loves overloading them with sponsors. They squeeze in about 6 sponsors an hour.
The Bungalow podcast is the one that makes me laugh the most, just by concept. "Hey guys we made a podcast talking about our business, I hope you enjoy!" Two episodes, and then died.
I'm not sure what compelled me to watch that, but holy fuck Trevor is not funny.
Trevor is painfully unfunny. He's such a charisma vacuum.
This is beyond pathetic.
When they threw out the schedule to play the games they really wanted to play, I expected more than two people to want to, y'know, play them.
It would at least have made sense if they had people who were into games that don't typically make for a good stream or good comedy, but which they were still passionate and knowlegable about and the group dynamic could make the video more entertaining. something like Elder Scrolls games or Kerbal Space Program, or Dwarf Fortress or some shit, but seeing RT branch out into a variety of different games would be interesting and would go a long way towards letting each individual member of the team stand out through liking different games. But every single game they play is some flavor of the month shit or some massively popular Twitch darling.
