The Russian MoD claims the Ukrainians attempted to assault Snake Island. I'm not sure if it's true but the increased fighting around the area would make sense if the Ukrainians were attempting to take it back to exert more control over the Black Sea.

If true then that narrative of Snake island gets it's last nail in the coffin.

Saw footage of supposed drone strikes over there yestarday.
Here's what I had found with quick look see, but I saw a different one where you could actually tell that it was the island. I wonder what's the point of attacking it. Might be that they really don't like what's going on in Odessa.

Also before that, the Ukrainians bombed the island with the help of bayraktars. I'm not sure about the dates.

Details of today's APU attack on Zmeiny.

The island was used as bait: the forces of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation withdrew from it in the morning and departed. Mi-8 army aviation transport helicopters and the Stanislav landing boat quietly reached the shores of the island and began landing troops.

After that, the Russian Armed Forces struck. The helicopters and the boat were instantly grounded. The few survivors retreated in rubber boats.

Edit: Big news coming from Popasna. The word is that the UAF is in full retreat from the city. This would be a giant victory for the LPR, Russians and Wagner mercenaries in there. Wagner is being credited with particular effectiveness in making the UAF's positions untenable.

Popasna was frequently derided by LPR fighters as being a complete meat grinder and one of the highest casualty zones, since it was one of the small cities that was always meant to serve as a first line of defense.

If I had to guess, Bahkmut and its surrounding villages are the next stop for the retreating UAF, if this information truly checks out.

This isn’t remotely correct, both the US and EU have been trying to intensify efforts to pour immigrants into Eastern Europe and it has been escalating for years now. Increasingly they are cutting funding, applying sanctions, etc. In a few years countries that do not accept immigration will face the same kind of sanctions Russia is now. This isn’t some kind choice where countries “decided to invite foreigners”. This is 100% the most critical important policy objective of every major economic and political institution in the world right now. The stated goal is to prevent ethnic nationalist solidarity and electing politicians like Victor Orban who have empathy for their own people, and instead have globohomo stooges who will work on behalf of foreign entities. This is what they state publicly.

If you gave them hypothetical choice of 1) force every European country to pour in immigrants or 2) thoroughly defeat Russia and break it up into 5 small countries, but they couldn’t have both, they would probably choose option 1 and concede having Russia around. This is how Important immigration is to them. Obviously they are going to try for both though


All of Eastern Europe has been murdering each other for centuries. I don’t see any reason Ukranians and Russians shouldn’t have maintained their solidarity the way Polish and Ukranians do now. The Polish have just as much as a right to a grievance against the Ukranians as the Ukies do against Russia. Holding these ww2 era grudges isn’t useful in the modern world, and what Russia represents to the world is entirely different now.

This doesn’t change the fact that in the aftermath of euromaidan the western ukranian faction should have expected separatist movements and peacefully negotiating territorial concessions. This isn’t “rolling over” despite what some Ukranian fanatics might think.

If that had been allowed to happen, I would actually expect the Ukranian nation would have eventually re-aligned with Russia based on their mutual interests, because the world they are going into is now very different than the one in the 90s/2000s. Even life in the US is very different now vs then.



These appeals to absurdity might work on Reddit where you get 50k updoots and scores of hidden and deleted replies, but this has been thoroughly explained here repeatedly that Ukrainian demographics are already fucked. Fighting this war has been the most single destructive force against a future Ukrainian identity. It would have unironically fared much better had Russia actually stormed kiev and got their puppet rump state.

I said it before and I'll say it again. The Western EU states and the US will try to force Ukraine to let Non-White migrants in after this is over by telling them again and again that they were welcomed with open arms as well. They've been using this tactic of bringing up the waves of Hungarians leaving their country in 1849 and 1956 on the Hungarian government since 2015 which the Hungarian left keeps parroting. It worked like magic on expelled ethnic Germans and their descendants living in Germany who were very vocal about letting the entire Third World in.

The Ukraine faced greatest societal shock in last few generations. It's relationship with Russia, it's divided nation - all gone. Everything will be different and I don't think they will have oligarchs after the war. Yeah, it is possible that they will face fertility decline like before the war. But as the nation start believing in itself, they might as well have baby boom.

It is essentially impossible to tell what will happen in Ukraine in few years forward. That's why saying they will defnintely die off due to infertility is pure, unfiltered coppium.
