The kneejerk yet understandable reaction is to smack that smile off his face and give him a dose of reality. But one has to remember that this may not be entirely his fault. Teens are naturally volatile, unstable, and definitely NEED a solid guide to help shape them to confident men or women. It's easy to forget that predators like keffals and other troons absolutely prey on vulnerable children like a fat kid in a candy store, twisting guided to misguided. For all we know the troons could have groomed him to drive a wedge between himself and family, setting up the troons as the only people he can trust and rely on, thus assimilating another shrill and screaming voice into the chorus.

Again I know nothing of if the parents were shit, the kid was naturally shit, or if it was a combination of both, but I can absolutely bet you that troons had been involved and worsened the situation exponentially.
