This, oh god this. Look there are a ton of reasons to outright hate Oz... but somehow he is the least terrible candidate in the field. The hope is to get him in, secure the seat for the Republicans, then replace him as soon as is reasonably possible.
It needs to be a republican, because if the drive for them is out enough it also makes it more likely to get a Republican Governor and/or state legislature. So even if Oz is terrible, him simply having an R by his name and being less terrible than the absolutely godawful guy he is replacing is all that is needed at this stage.


Pennsylvania is just... fucked. But its not non-recoverably fucked like California. So the goal is simply to wrench it somewhere less insane over time, while acknowledging the people you'll get in doing that will be absolutely dogshit for at least another 5 electoral cycles.

I'd vote a third option. That it is further proof that Biden is seen as useless as a puppet. But they just can't get rid of him.

as much as I'd like to see it just for the lulz, I doubt it's gonna happen. this isn't 2020 anymore where people are surprised and didn't know how to handle it, with all the shit going on and since then I don't expect lot of people to be in the mood for it.

only if you got by the burger definition, but I was talking more of the framework. europe for example did fine - most of the time at least - by following christian values to an extend. of course you could always go full islam or dark ages but in the end that would just impede progression, not stop it completely (people want to improve their quality of life one way or another, doesn't matter how much haram or heresy something is). there's even a theory that the morals and principles imprinted by religion was part of europe's successful development, but that's even more offtopic.
going full fedora tipper on the other hand doesn't take you anywhere really (or at least society's not ready for it yet, imo).

in the end, moderation is key, just like with everything else.

I’ve executed the same playbook I did in March 2020. 401ks all switched to bonds (which will lose but not as much as the other options - pure cash isn’t a 401k option) and tight floors on all non-dividend stocks so they will auto-sell. I doubled my net worth by buying back in in June 2020 with the exact same asset mix I liquidated in March.

Just as an fyi. Also I was late this go around as I should have executed this a month ago.

I agree. This kind of behaviour doesn't just come out of know where. It's probably been running in the family for generations. It's just that this generation of Biden's are filthy rich and powerful so they don't bother to hide it as much.

It's funny that no matter how hard I search I can't locate any former colleague of Beau's saying anything bad about him. Not one. Apparently he was next to Jesus in perfection.

Or you know, someone rich and powerful paid people to scrub that history and fuck up anyone who dared to question it.

I could see the dynamic of Beau being the good kid who didn't do bad shit and who took his dad's abuse and silently strive to be perfect to avoid his father's wrath and Hunter being the "bad" kid who responded to his father's abuse by becoming a corrupt, drug addicted fuck up.

And Biden's obsession with protecting Hunter coming from a screwed up mentality where Hunter IS his father's favorite, but only because Joe knows Hunter is more likely to do something to expose Joe's crimes, internally and politically due to him being a barely functioning fuck-up and as such, Joe showers Hunter with a stream of positive reinforcement (rewarding him when he does what his father orders him to, cleaning up after his messes) to counterbalance the abuse to keep Hunter loyal; whereas with Beau, he got nothing but the abuse because Joe "trained" Beau via abuse to make him "normal" and Hunter knows Beau was properly cowed so he didn't have to worry about being screwed over by him.
