People like that I've met em in the furry fandom and I've met em elsewhere they're never ever good people by any objective standard so to speak.

Like in fact most of them tend to have some skeletons in their closet that make me wonder.

There's no way for me to say this without sounding moralfaggy, but I'm honestly starting to wonder if manipulation like Byuu's is causing people to short circuit and unironically abandon any kind of ethics. I feel sorry for any kid coming up that has to parse between stuff that'll keep you out of prison or getting laid out at a bar, and "my pronouns are bugself and you better accept that or else!"

9th graders have a teacher to answer to, whereas journalism is completely unregulated (at least in the U.S.). And now that the internet is a thing, they don’t even have a boss to answer to because they start independent journalism blogs or join one of these nuwave fag “pop journalism” sites.

I didn't get very far into it because they clearly hadn't even looked at the thread or done any research beyond asking his "friends" or reading the version of the story that's filtered through leftist twitter.

Now I've heard them be so confidently wrong about this I can confidently discard everything else they have to say.

They’ve had a few decent episodes, I loved the Stalin ones for example. But a while back they had an episode that was just an interview with the Tenacious Unicorn Ranch troons (I didn’t listen, but I assume it was about how victimized they were by Earl, etc) and I lost a lot of trust after that.

I don’t even mind a podcast being pro-tranny, but obviously they are not doing good research or fact-checking if they take the gross animal-abusers of the Tranch at their word.

The funny thing is that if the latest episode is partially about Kiwi Farms, you just know a few listeners are going to get curious enough to check the place out. And then they’ll find the Tranch thread.

With byuu being almost certainly still alive, it would be interesting to find out which persona he has taken on since. I don't think you would have to look far since he didn't have many friends. I believe it's likely he is working with Hector Martin on Asahi Linux. He might be @AsahiLina, a Twitter account that was created around the time he tried to erase his tracks.
