It shows $6.99 for me. And $12.99 for the postcard tier. I can’t find the stream that she says she raised it. I thought at the time, what a greedy bitch move to make after just getting her channel back.

Yes I’m in the US. What’s also weird is someone in the chat “blond-sided” or something like that said she was charged $24.99 for the postcard tier. I’m not subscribed to her channel, not sure if that makes any difference but I’m sure there’s an explanation and that is Chins being a greedy beech.

Looks like the price is dependent on device. If I look through my browser, it’s still $4.99 a month. If I look in the YouTube app on the iPhone, it’s $6.99 a month. This is YouTube’s way of letting people buy the membership through the app and still make their coin, while having to pay Apple a cut for in-app purchases.

What always happens with these so called "price rises" is a person from another country (like Australia) sees it as a price rise when really its just an exchange rate conversion, ie 4.99 in the US is 6.99 or whatever the figure was in Australia. That's all it is.

ETA I see that some are in the US that are being shown that price, I wonder if its anything to do with using a VPN? So its reading as not knowing what country you are in. Just an additional thought.

Another edit $5.99 Australian dollars on laptop, $5.99 Australian dollars on phone. Look at the price it shows you and it will have whatever abbreviation its reading for the country you are in.
