Where the fuck is all the war footage? I want more drone pov of tanks lighting shit up, or being lit up. Since the withdrawal to the east things seem to have quietened down alot, recently.

Apart from Chechens firing guns alot at empty buildings(they must be because most of the vids they stand out in the open emptying a magazine and then hand over to a mate who does the same) and the odd bit of drone footage of tanks, or loads of missiles being shot off somewhere, there is not a great deal of vids and the latter could be from older wargames/testing. I want to see what happens at the other end when they fucking land and on current targets that can be identified. The bombing/missile/mortar footage from the steel factory hasn't exactly been jaw dropping and that is supposed to have been intensive.

Anyhow....it is the 9th. Putin has to do something or victory day is going to be a bit meh.

That's about the only real value I could see in it. Granted if it were up to me, I'd level all the existing buildings there and turn it into an airfield and emergency anchorage. Not really with this war in mind, but for future wars.

You'd have to actually get those anti-ship missiles there, and Ukraine doesn't really have a Navy left. They certainly couldn't resupply the island.

A bit late, but it would be a complete dogshit as an airport. It's not even a half mile long at its longest point, you wouldn't really be able to handle much there, much less be able to store large stockpiles of gear for planes. At best it would be good for ASW helicopters. Glancing over the geography on Wikipedia, it's mostly rocky with multiple fault lines.

Iran-Iraq War - ended just as Iran was starting to get the better of Iraq. No real winner. In the Ukraine, just like in Vietnam and the Afghanistan, support is coming in from outside sources. And these outside sources can afford to supply Ukraine about as long as they choose to.

Or is this going to be some version of The Thirty Years War? The combatants fight for a while, stop for a while, then go at it again.

They've figured out that getting more war footage often means making it easier for your enemy to target you, or giving away information to your enemy. As such it's far safer to take feel good pictures and videos in areas where fighting isn't currently going on. For example:
