Apparently its a 1 point race in Pennsylvania's GOP Senate race with Oz, Barnette and McCormick and with 15% undecided. I have no fucking idea who is going to win.

If you forced me, I guess I would choose Oz. Barnette is getting exposed as pro-BLM and critical of Trump as a Russian informant. We don't need another Tim Scott, and McCormick is essentially McConnell lite.
Adding onto this: A lot of otherwise good people are losing sight of the forest for the trees. They see someone who at least talks a good game of matching them ideologically (Barrette) and decide they want her, especially when the other choice is a seemingly bad option ideologically (Oz) but they are losing track of the fact that this is all in a battleground where someone like the person they support more ideologically -cannot win-.

Barrette has more support within the Republican party, but less support within Pennsylvania overall. A Trump endorsement -could- put her over... or it could not. The safer, more steady, and more realistic option is to support the better candidate but worse ideological match now and ensure a greater chance of victory.
I've said before that she likes to bring up that she lost a congressional election in 2020 by +20 points because of fraud.

From what I'm hearing Pennsylvania independents bought in Jan 6th and fucking loathe it and anything adjacent to it, and that kind of talk is pretty much buried balls deep into it.

It's the same issue with the governor's race there. Doug Mastriano is the frontrunner, but he was known as the election guy there and put his face everywhere on that issue post-2020 election. Thing is, he's a grifter; as a state senator, he was the reason shit like mail-ins got through and the provisions were trashed.

His opponent, the presumptive nominee Josh Shapiro, has made ads that prop him up in the eyes of Trumpers. It even has the slight sound of a Trump endorsement: "If Doug gets in, it will be what Donald Trump has envisioned," or something like that.

Posobiec, his followers, and MAGA Inc. totally bought the bait, thinking it makes him look cool. No one realizes that Shapiro is pulling a McCaskill; the ad is the same format she used to get the weakest candidate in Todd Akin nominated and survive what should have been an easy pick-up.

"He'll detail his plan to fight inflation and lower costs for working families, and contrast his approach with Congressional Republicans' ultra-MAGA plan to raise taxes on 75 million American families and threaten to sunset programs like Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid"
And thanks to the Democrat's information dominance, the NPCs that lean left will believe.

Also Trump saying "no comment" to the suggestion of attacking the drug cartels with missiles leads me to think he was considering it.

It makes me think he doesn't want to get baited into discussing military decisions for legal reasons. They'd take his statement and read it back to him at his show trial and accuse him of sharing state secrets.

Lol they branded TERFs as conservatives
Just easing us into the Twitter take:

This image is from about 6 months ago, but I keep it around because seeing someone say "far-right radical feminist"* without a hint of irony is something.

(*With just enough acronymic spackle over it to keep the typical Twitter user's one neuron from firing.)

Bloomberg has a quick take sidebar on TV, which isn't visible from Youtube. Here's what I saw before I could get a picture.

It cited this as proof of "an economic recovery that Biden has struggled to convince voters is underway":

...At the same time this was on the screen:

They're gonna soon be calling it a "recoverycession", or something to that effect. Mark my words. Never bet against the Meat.

Biden to deliver remarks on inflation Tuesday, official says

President Joe Biden will deliver remarks on inflation Tuesday, a White House official said, as his administration looks to further address one of the key economic concerns for voters heading into November's midterm elections. "He'll detail his plan to fight inflation and lower costs for working families, and contrast his approach with Congressional Republicans' ultra-MAGA plan to raise taxes on 75 million American families and threaten to sunset programs like Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid," the official said in an email. A CNN poll released last week found 8 in 10 US adults said the federal government wasn't doing enough to curb inflation, and a majority said the President's policies have hurt the economy. Even within the Democratic Party, just 7 in 10 approve of Biden on the economy (71%) and helping the middle class (71%), considerably lower than the 86% of Democrats who approve of his performance overall. Biden's expected remarks were first reported by Axios.

Inflation rates have been increasing sharply since August 2021 and have been out of the normal 2%-to-4% range for a full year. The Consumer Price Index rose 8.5% for the year ending in March, a rate that hadn't been seen since December of 1981. "It's our job to make sure that inflation of that unpleasant high nature doesn't get entrenched in the economy," Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell said last week, just after he announced a half-point interest rate hike to combat inflation. Still, Americans are struggling with rising costs everywhere from the grocery store to the gas pump.

Keeping prices stable is part of the Fed's mandate, but so far inflation has kept creeping higher, leading some to wonder if the central bank is behind the curve with its policy. The GOP is already leveraging inflation to weaken Democrats heading into the midterm elections as it argues that Biden and congressional Democrats aggravated the problem with the injection of pandemic-related stimulus funds into the economy in 2021. Biden, for his part, has repeatedly acknowledged the reality of rising inflation while still touting the strength of the US economy. "Too many families are struggling to keep up with their bills," the President said during his State of the Union address earlier this year, noting that soaring costs are keeping workers from reaping the benefits of the strong labor market and rising wages. "I get it. That's why my top priority is getting prices under control."

Oh boy, can't wait to hear about how it's all Putin and COVID's fault again!

Also: "He'll detail his plan to fight inflation and lower costs for working families, and contrast his approach with Congressional Republicans' ultra-MAGA plan to raise taxes on 75 million American families and threaten to sunset programs like Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid"
^is this actually bad, or does it benefit us, and therefore, the Dems don't want it to happen?
well boys, the fact that they're talking about their plan to totally solve inflation again means that the CPI report the BLS is set to release Wednesday is probably going to be ugly. Inflation has totally peaked guys trust me.

The federal reserve has already said interest rates should be about 5% to appropriately address inflation (that's probably still too low). I'd be shocked if they get anywhere close to that before chickening out and lowering rates again.

I don’t think you realize how much of a non-issue this is to most people, especially considering that abortion hasn’t actually gotten banned or anything.
Oh I know it's a non-issue kind of, However this has been the rallying Cry of the left and the right for the last 40 or so years. They have made a it a hill to die on. Now as for any actual logic and facts pertaining to this matter. Forget about,
I was in a McDonald's in the middle of fucking nowhere Nebraska the other day and I even got to listen to the store employees voice their absurd opinions concerning this. It seems a lot of them think that this is going to legalized of rape and marginalization of gay people. Never bet against the sheer ignorance of people. Or have you forgotten that for the last two years a stantial portion of the population had rallyed behind a criminal organization that helped destroy Mass amounts of property and personal freedoms.

Right, I have an important question for you. Without looking it up, what do you think is the percentage of Democrat and Republican registered voters in the U.S. compared to the total of registered voters? Not the hardcore ideologues specifically, just Democrat and Republican in general.
You don't even need a large portion of the population to cause massive societal change. Just a highly dedicated well organized cabal of individuals with money and resources, as well as enough morons to carry out that plan. Whats your fucking point?

So is anyone else as disturbed and horrified that DOCTORRRRRR (She's a DOCTOR) Jill did Jack and Shit?

A woman, as troony as DOCTOR (Did I say she's a DOCTOR) Jill is putting children (including her own) on notice EVERYWHERE, that she don't mind because THEY don't matter.

A fucking WOMAN
A WOMAN
WOMAN

I'm just...trying to roll this around in my head, and like Dottie Sandusky, shit just isn't computing.
It's horrifying but not really shocking anymore. Frankly all public servants should be forced to wear gopros and bodycams that are streaming at all times, no exceptions. Fuckers said every cop should have a body cam until it started proving uncomfortable facts. I would love to see the fuckers in DC be micd and filmed 24/7. Cutting down on corruption is pretty easy in the digital age, people just need to have the will to force these fucks to be put into the position where they serve the people.

They are incapable of not making what they hate sound cool. Cocaine Mitch and that throne of skulls fanfic, Kegs Kavanaugh, and Hitlerina Barbie (MTG).

edit: forgot operative word
That's just the natural byproduct of how desperately uncool they are. Conservatism/"Ultra-MAGA" is the counterculture now, which is definitely not the timeline I expected back in my 20's.

Way too low. Back in the late 70's and early 80's Paul Volcker set the Fed Funds Rate at 20(!!!) percent, and it still took a few years for the inflation to settle down. They will chicken out. QE will return. I wouldn't be shocked if the BLS made up an excuse to fuck with the CPI calculations so they can just pretend that the problem is solved like they did with the unemployment numbers recently. They're gonna make a Potemkin economy.
